Will you two chill the feck out!!

Otis - I get what your saying, it's never over until it's over and we should remain realistic on our success this season.

covcity4life - Yeah I agree with your saying too! We should aim as high we can as some of the clubs around us are wobbling and looking inconsistent.

Agree to disagree friends!!

Im sorry I probably went a bit more indepth about it all then the original thread question required.

Can we get autos - yes. one word, simple......done.

Now someone start a thread so we can discuss CCFC and our season in a bit more detail and why I think Autos will be a struggle

i agree robbo,i have no problem with anyone being realistic

but outright dismissing autos is just rude.

as i have said many times its gonna be tough to make playoffs let alone autos ,all i am saying is it is possible.

i jsut feel realists are actually overly negative

i kno my predictions are either right or close,so i am not gonna let someone who gets everything wrong talk down to those who aim high

Swindown are in the shit big time so hopefully that will affect them. Tranmere are in poor form, Sheffield United are very inconsistent atm, Brentford IMO are the suprise package. Right now i think we are the most consistent team in the top 8 except Bournmouth. I dont know about auto my play-offs are certainly a possibility. 8 points off the top atm, so its looking good, but we need to remember we have a new manager coming in next week so we cant really think about auto's until he arrives and we know what we're getting

Yeovil and Doncaster are on a better run than us at the moment.
Yeovil have won 8 in a row!

No. Not if we play as we did last night.

And how many teams are going to setup at home with 4 in the middle and a holding midfielders sitting in front of the back 4 and sit and wait for the away team to come and attack? thats the reason we had to play the long ball because we could'nt get through them so we had to try and turn there defenders. We don't play hoofball by choice its because we are in a shit league and teams like us that play on the deck sometimes have to adapt. To be quite honest the Home game on Saturday may not be any better unless the City players start to intimidate their players by telling them they will miss Wembly if they go into a tackle with them. Cameron may be a big lump but Carsley should tell him to go through them like a steam train in the first 5 minutes and then you will see their players back off

With the current squad I really think we are short and I will be happy if we avoid the season petering out.
At present we are not strong enough and I can't remember the last time we played really well. We need another striker to help Clarke and the midfield needs a shake up.
Last night, in all honesty, we played like a pub team. Crewe, a mid table team, had a stronger midfield. Their players were bigger, stronger and faster. Don't let the result fool you.
We need a couple of loans or accept a near miss and build for next season.
Hope I'm wrong.

Yeovil I agree with, but Donny have only won one in there last five and only taken, 5 points from a possibly 15, not ideal at this stage of the season.

yeh they are on fire,as i said its unlikely we will make top 2 but right now ther eis a chance

the way i see it

swindon-top but physio and 2 players in charge till take over compelte. could go wrong

tranmere-6th AND in title mix-but small squad and finnaly starting to drop off like many predicted

bournemoth-finnaly lost a few but still seem super strong

sheff utd-have choked a few times to get out of league 1. nothign special but solid

brentford-another team on fire and highe signign of BWP, title contenders

yeovil-super run but still feel they will drop off again,in playoff mix though

and thenw e have lil old coventry

great squad, good form, potential to go on a winning run but need to address poor home form

so as i said, aim for top spot and see where we finish

Assuming we get into the top six before the end of the season & make the push into the top 2 which gets us automatically promoted.
What do you think the chances are of us having a successful season in the Championship and winning promotion back to the Premier League?
Then what do you think our chances are of storming the premier league and winning it?
Then what about the Champions League the following year, do you think we could win it?
Then how about entering some our players for the Eurovision song contest, we must stick a chance of winning that as well.
How about making Carl Baker the first footballer into space, that would be a major coup and defiantly one up on Man Utd
The Vatican need a new Pope is Carsley a catholic? How about chopping Leons legs off and making him run on blades in the next Paralympics? I’m sure there will be a vacant position on the track.
Oh heck……sorry
One step at a time boys…….lets get into the top six first

Tbh just getting to the play offs will be a good after the start we had.
I'd take that now.

Auto I don't think is reachable for us this season.

thats fair enough gaz. i have no issue with people who dont think we will do it

I think the top 6 is possible (just) but still not likely. I can't even get into a debate on automatic.

Anyone still want to talk about automatic promotion?

As Osprey has said, top 6 is possible but not likely.
