Any thoughts Boro might roll over forget it, they want prem football next season and on form won’t want us in the mix, dangerous game.

We have gone from no chance to winning 3 out of 4 and now don’t even need to win at Boro. We don’t lose many games and Boro have no reason to break a sweat. Need to be at least a little optimistic at this point. A few weeks ago winning at Boro was considered to be a necessity

Not by me

Said a few weeks ago 1-1 at Blackburn (cheers Wilson) and 2 home wins with 69 points having a good chance of making the playoffs. Most didn't consider form or how many sides had to play each other.

Going for another 1-1 at Middlesbrough. We deserved to beat them earlier in the season and have only lost 1 in the last 16 games. Just the kind of form you want going into the playoffs.

I haven't seen anyone say Middlesbrough will be easy.

But Sunderland are supposed to have an easy last game against a side who have won 4 drawn 3 in their last 7 home games.

A fiver? That's an excellent bottle of wine.

My wife's usual one is a 10 ltr box for €16. Just over a euro a bottle. Her favourite is €11 for 3 litres but says not a lot of difference.

Tax is 1 Centime a bottle. So less than a penny. The whole country would go on strike and riot if they tried to raise it

I believe you. When I was over there we started at 7 euro or something using UK logic, eventually worked down to the €1 range

I think a £5/6 bottle here is something like 80% tax

I keep telling myself the bookies are never wrong and they have us at 1/10 for a play off spot.

So many possible variables looking at this game. They may want to rest player’s ahead of the 2 legs. Then again is it’s more than possible that they might be playing us in those 2 legs so want to stamp their authority going into the ahead of the 2 legs. Then again they might not want to add the added pressure of a local derby into the mix over the 2 legs so it might be better for them if we get the job done with 3 points.

However it pans out we’re definitely more than capable of getting at least a point there and thus far we seem to be coping well under the pressure so as long as Robins and Vivash can keep the players in that frame of mind I think we’ll be okay. Does feel different though going into this game. We’ve gone from being in a place of nothing to lose to having everything to lose. Not sure the teams below are going into the final game with the same pressure as us.

Wine here is a social thing. Dinner lasts 2 hours. Most shops even close from 12 until 2. You are not even allowed to cut your grass at this time. If it isn't good it wouldn't sell at all. It gets sent to the UK.

And if you lose your driving licence you can still drive a car They have cars here you don't need a driving licence for.

So this will be first time a Mark Robins side has played a Michael Carrick side. Both from the school of Alex Ferguson and both play similar passing style football. I think a draw but not many goals

Play for a win. Same XI. If Vik and Hamer are on their game and the defence holds up, we can do it. Hamer and Vik are match winners. Feels like that's the difference from last season. We can be average in possession and those two can get us goals. Also thought the press yesterday was the best I've seen it in a while. Recreate the foundations from yesterday and hope the match winners do it for us.

They are right more times than they are wrong, but they are nevertheless regularly wrong!

It’s like that in Italy as well, a €4 bottle of wine would be around £25-30 in the UK.

Worryingly, we have not beaten any of the top 12 at their places, so its looking like a draw is our best hope.

Of course we can, why shouldn't we go there with confidence?
We're a half decent team and we all need to start believing that.

We can get the result we need, but I have a feeling we might lose and be looking nervously at other results. At least we've given ourselves a cushion a few results need to go against us for us to drop out. Luck has largely been with us in that respect recently. Hopefully it will carry on for one more game.

I meant in terms of other results going our way. After next Mon other results are irrelevant. It's all down to our own matches.

I dunno, I’d quite like Millwall to shithouse one of the others out the way but point take.

This is a bonus that I could only dream about, losing hyam due to sisus last bit of trechary then O'Hare out most of the season then losing Kasey for last 16 games then Allen, plus biggest loss was fadz out.Yet after all that robins has fashioned a side from kids backed up by loaners and we are still in putting on pionts to get us up there improving yet again.
Now I know mark robins for me is on the Jimmy hill level,if not above,Why JH had financial backing of Derrick robins I can remember him as I'm sure a lot us can.coming back to mark robins to manage with strife the over last 6 years and no money,COVID he is above JH in building his own dynasty and history.
So to be where we are so close to play offs bring em all on mackems, borough ,Carrick, mowbray cause we are Robins sky blue Army.

If we can’t get a result vs Middlesbrough then there isn’t much point in us getting into the play-offs anyway seeing as we’d most likely have to play them again.

That being said, it does feel like we’re not in as comfortable a position as the league table/bookie odds would suggest. Would expect Sunderland and Millwall to both win on the final day.

Boro will have nothing to play for so yes, a draw is not unrealistic.

I can take making the playoffs and then getting battered by Luton or Middlesbrough. However not making the playoffs at all now would hurt

Slower than that

Max speed of 28mph. Market days are the worse. You can drive them from the age of 14. An interesting article from the BBC

The little car you can drive in France without a licence

The top speed is 28mph and it's only tiny but the voiture sans permis - often held together with wire and gaffer tape - is a key feature of French village life.

Going to be another horrible week of waiting and trying to work out what others do and what it means. By Monday night that will become clearer but still not change the fact we need a point to not look at others to do a favour.

Lots of twists yet and during our game our position will change multiple times i would of thought.

The bookies have Boro and Sunderland favourites but have us massively odds on to make playoffs. Seems odd

Wonder if either of our injured two will be fit for Monday might be a chance for Sheaf and it’s been quiet re. Palmer but Robins does keep his cards close to his chest

Suppose it's because of the cumulative effect of all three results coming in.

Only way we drop out is if all three results go against us.

So Middlesborugh win, Sunderland and Millwall win. Any other result in any of the three matches will have us qualifying for play offs.

Say Middlesbrough, Millwall, Sunderland are all favourites for there matches with 50% chance to win, 25% chance to lose and 25% chance of a draw for simplicity.

The odds of all three winning would be 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 which is 0.125 or as a percentage the likelihood is 12.5%

I guess when Stoke came here, they had nothing to play for.

Remember, some players have jobs on the line... whether it is with their existing or new employer.

It was interesting to read how many thought how well Bidwell played (and he did)... maybe he was driven to get a three year deal rather than the two he was going to take in January.

We need Blackburn to go to Millwall with everything to play for a point tomorrow v Luton would be ideal.
Goal difference could be key I can’t help thinking about those missed chances v Reading we should be at least another four goals clear.

I don't see Middlesborough rolling over.

If we beat them then i think we are playing them in the playoffs.... they aren't going to want to give us the mental advantage of having just beaten them, regardless of whether they've got nothing riding on this one.

I think we need that point next week, and if we lose we might just slip out.... that Sunderland equaliser was as vital as ours against Blackburn.
