Meh, if Wilson was on loan from a top four club he'd already have won the award tbh.

Nah. Bamford has superior technical ability and the same potency in front of goal. Would also rather Troy Deeney than him, however would probably have Wilson over the other candidate Daryl Murphy.

Wilson has not had the same coaching as Bamford and their two different types of striker.

Wilson has other attributes that Bamford does not, but Bamford is technically better, with Wilson still needing to polish up in some areas.

However, considering Wilson has literally been on the scene for two full seasons hes done remarkably well, and is a major factor in why Bournemouth could be promoted.

He has scored a hatful, could of had more, has won numerous penalties and free kicks and is more of a threat to the opposition than Bamford is.

( The same Bamford who was dogshit when we played MK away in the 3.2 win IMHO)

i seem to remember waggott chirping on about wilson being offered improved terms,
& wilson had said he was happy @ CCFC,
but that they'd received a fabulous (undisclosed) offer from bournemouth,
subsequently,
i heard from a reasonable source that the improved terms were about £5 per week,
& we are still in the dark concerning the fab bournemouth offer,
however, on the radio the other day, harry redknapp said he'd been to watch bournemouth & the lad wilson, who they got from cov for a song, was worth his weight in gold,

£3 million probably is a 'song' to Redknapp.

The nominees are voted for by the managers.

i seem to remember assombalonga moved around the same time for £6m,
i'd rate wilson considerably higher,
harry redknapp's comments were to the effect that bournemouth had their major signing in wilson,
& not just a £3m player, if indeed that was the amount,
more like £1m down & other monies on appearances & goals,
remember, it was rumoured that we, CCFC, only got around £1m on the mcsheffrey deal

Assombalonga would have a similar total if not more than Wilson had he not suffered a career threatening injury in february.

We aren't. He's a good player, just not as good as Cov fans make out.

I'm not pretending he is rubbish at all. He's very good but he's not the best striker in the championship by any stretch.

He's better than Assombalonga from what I've seen of both.

Bamford's early development/coaching was at Forest and even since his move to Chelsea he has developed away from Cobham, at MK, Derby and this season Middlesbrough.

Disagree back . Calum will have a £10M+ bid come in for him soon. His finishing is getting better, and there is little defenders can do to combat raw pace. I am now looking forward to the upcoming threads where we hear some people saying Maddison is good, but it's only potential, as he then gets sold for naff all and hits the headlines a season or two later. Keep him pleeease....and build a future around our talented few !!

For someone who doesn't care about Wilson you seem to be digging this thread up and posting in it an awful lot...

No doubt SISU will be waiting to the end of the season to pick up another wedge. Being the canny business men/women they are then the 20 goals in the season clause will kick in...........

If anyone thinks this goal was special I recommend you take a look at Carl Bakers contributions from MKs last game

Baker moved to one of the best teams in the league, so of course he's in a promotion race. Average player in a very good team. With us however, average player in an average team.
