Saw that earlier, hadn't seen it anywhere else like it usually is

Kelly witnessed first-hand the farcical mismanagement behind the scenes at Orient last season, which culminated in the club dropping out of the Football League. He went months without getting paid, without knowing who would take charge of training and on a match-day was sometimes one of only two senior players in the starting lineup. He has no such concerns about Coventry.

“I think Leyton Orient was a special case – I don’t think Coventry is anywhere near what that was,” he said. “Leyton Orient was just a surreal experience, so I don’t think Coventry’s got anything like that to be worried about in the near future. As long as we keep getting the support that we’re getting, the results are coming and we are trying to build something for the future here.”

Calm waters are great but as we’ve seen before there’s usually a hurricane around the corner. With the uncertainty around where we play next season, uncertainty around the academy and the ongoing JR2 another hurricane around the corner isn’t unthinkable.

Let’s just keep on till the end of the road as the Brummies say, when Sisu finally fook off we can’t be any worse than we are and the investors and fans can finally push on and grow the club again I know loads of people who are waiting to buy season tickets with owners who are honest and will invest in a team to watch and move onwards. It’s a sad situation but the day will come.
It will be a long journey no quick fix but will build a club from foundations not a gamble like Sisu wanted.

Good article.
Only bit that is missing is that aswell as suing the council SISU are seeking 30 plus million compensation from Wasps. Who Brody is focused on negotiating with.
He also missed about the Butts Arena.
Otherwise quite good.

There's a reason the Butts isn't mentioned - it's a complete non-starter and everyone knows it. Just a sad attempt to create some leverage in the rent negotiations by pretending there's an alternative option in Coventry.

On a more worrying note, I assume you mean "Boddy" not "Brody" unless you have inside knowledge that "text a sub" Len is working for us again......

No I agree the Butts is a non starter. However it also shows quite clearly how this legal action is damaging us. Which is frustrating when it is so futile. No it was a definite typo re the text a sub.

Do you realize that Grauniad is the nickname for the Guardian as the paper is notorious for its typos.

You have to be a certain age to know that. Like me - old enough to remember metal typesetting

Typos are far worse now, the spell checker says OK it must be OK syndrome, but it doesn't check context or meaning.

I've seen so many errors where the writer did not realise there were 2 similar sounding words with totally different meanings that are spelt differently. Recently a Cov Tel 'reporter' was ignorant enough to be confused between Manor and Manner (if I remember correctly) and that error was in a headline!

Reminds me of that funny part of W1A this week where the fully automatic B B C text machine made trump a tramp and joules Holland Jews Holland and then was too clever to be turned off
