I’ve calmed down from what was a bizarrely stressful game only 2 games into the season. Here’s our lesson, just because a club is in turmoil and fields their youth team doesn’t give us a right to roll them over. We played average, goals not allowed when at least 1 is clearly on side. That’s football for you.

By game 10 let’s judge where this team is heading. There are a few new players who will need to bed in and for the team to find its groove.

Key summer signings in Allen and Kastineer haven’t featured yet and Godden only arrived earlier in the week. Not enough time to train and click with other players. That’s 3 key attacking players right there.

Also Biamou will get stronger and fitter with more time off the bench and in training.

If we are in the top 6 by game 10 it will be positive going into Christmas.

Keep the faith. PUSB

Good summary. I'm not judging the team as such. Just disappointed in today's result.

It was a terrible performance today but it is only two games in. More than the lack of goals (poor officiating was only part of the issue), I was more worried by the lack of physicality against a team who were literally boys. We really need to toughen up a bit. But before we all get too down we do need to remember that we have a lot of players still to come in to the team who will hopefully make a positive difference at the sharp end. I'd always give it 10 games myself before feeling any conclusions can be safely drawn.

Very rational interpretation. You sure you’re a City fan?

We weren’t even that terrible, we could’ve been better but we’ve had much worse. We scored at least 2 fair goals and should’ve had 1-2 pens, simple as that really.

The meltdown is embarrassing.

I was fine, until I’ve just watched this!! Not sure if it’s been posted elsewhere but what the actual f!£k!?

Why is he not going in to our young dressing room? Why is he visiting Bolton’s? Wish they’d slammed the door in his face, literally!!

Believe me mate, you won't roll anyone over this season,Robin's way to negative for that, andtop six by Christmas, more like bottom six.and i'm being honest,we are shit...ok..it is only 2 games in and 4pts but we are facing the same issue's of last seasson, but without Bright or bayliss who could conjur up somehing from nothing,i foresee a season of struggle this year,i generally hope i am wrong, but with Robins i doubt it.

Jesus Christ send for the Samaritans. last season we struggled against the poorer teams and now we have 4 points from 2 games people are still moaning. I guarantee had 1 of those decisions gone for us yesterday, both offsides and penalties, then nobody would be moaning at 6 from 6.
Criticising Robins after a promotion and 2 Wembley wins and an 8th place finish last season. Absolutely clueless.

What’s Kastineer being a key signing based upon?

The fact Badlan was talking about how much of a coup and surprise it was to him, that we were able to get him to sign. I certainly see him as a starter when he is fully fit.

Two more goals than we managed and they had to play against some actual senior players

There appears to be a huge overreaction on Social Media and the Forums to yesterday’s result.

Yes, on the face of it we drew 0-0 with a Bolton side that had an average age of 17/18, but look into it further than that it doesn’t tell the entire story.

City had two perfectly good goals chalked off for offside, having seen images on iFollow of both goals and highlights since I still don’t believe there to be any offside in Jobello’s goal or Baka’s, not even in the build up to either goal.

Bolton’s young lads were spurred on and fair play to them, they rose to the challenge in front of them and did really well, something that will be unique in the 46 games we play this season.

There are positives to take away from yesterday and nothing is lost after two games, there is a long way to go.

Unfortunately there are games like yesterday in every season, more often these games involve City - thank the footballing gods for that!

While it was frustrating to draw in any other normal game we win that 2-0 or even 1-0 because those decisions don’t go against us, I’m not sure what the ref saw yesterday, perhaps he felt sorry for Bolton, let’s hope we continue to build on an unbeaten start to ensure yesterday’s result isn’t relevant after 46 games.

yep! some special fans we have, your right there chum, not writing our season off,not yet anyway, I think sooner or later our frailties in not being able to score will result in us taking a hammering,if we can't score against kids what hope do we have,be interesting next week against Bristol rovers,

It took Wycombe 60 minutes to score past them last week, and Bolton dominated possession. If we had scored an ugly goal yesterday and won 1-0 then this negativity would be non existent. People with a total lack of perspective are the first to pipe, and are the usual silent ones when we win. It’s like they prefer it when we struggle so they have something to moan about. Grendel prime example.

Thank you rational people in this Thread.. after yesterday and the uproar post match I thought we had just lost, been relegated and put out of business all in one foul swoop!! Luckily enough though, we are sitting on 4 points, undefeated (better than last season) and with key players to come into team! PUSB

We’re not the best going forward, but we’re not going to be leaking goals anytime soon which people seem to forget.

Fucks sake people, results like this happen. We should have won, goals disallowed and plenty of chances. 2 points dropped but idiots on Facebook calling for Robins head is just stupid.

On another day we win 4-0 and they’re down to 10 men and everyone says we’re going to win the league.

We should’ve done better regardless but we did enough to win.

We started without three of our first choice front 4. And the 4th doesn’t speak the language and only arrived in the country a few months ago. You’ve got to expect us to get better than that as the season goes on.

Two of the senior players went off and replaced by 17 year old for 50 minutes of the game

tbh I'd have thought people would be encouraging him to stay *out* of our dressing room, anyway!

Exactly, I don't ever really think it's helpful for board members to go in.

Outrage was because he thought this was a good move.

I’m glad really he doesn’t get involved in our dressing room (as someone mentioned on the match thread, we don’t want an orange Ken situation). But still think this move is a PR suicide for him! The guy annoys the hell out me at the best of times!
