Am I the only one who's feeling calm and confident today?! Look at the bigger picture...it's equally as big a game for Bristol and they'll be equally as nervous deep down. I sense a point a piece. We beat Hull away because we committed ourselves and we'll do the same today. Seven games without a loss...that's what we've got going into this game, and Bristol know it. They also know how incredibly lucky they were last week. Posted this on another thread cos I think we should be sending out positve vibes. PUSB

It is 7 games unbeaten yes.

Stats can be funny at times though. Were we to lose today it would be just 2 wins in 8. We are drawing a lot of games and not winning many. Not that I am complaining about that of course. An unbeaten run is great and exactly what we need right now. It is just 2 wins though in those 7 games.

I would be absolutely over the moon with a draw today. My main fear though is that we have injured players and a squad not big enough to cope with 2 games in just 3 days.

I don't feel that good about it tbh.
They are a poor side, but so are we away from home.

A draw would be a good result today and i'd take that now.

Me too. Snap your hand off!

Bristol's next 2 games are Brum and West Ham, so there is a great chance to make up points after today.

We are playing well away from home at the moment.

Confident of at least a draw. Very calm. Ask me again an hour before the kickoff

We were decent against Hull. Were great in the second half at Cardiff, slow 1st half. Before that we managed to get a draw at Watford. Not the best team out of the two, but we did have chances. The away performances have been getting better.

Yep deffo getting better, but still feel we are a poor side away from home.
Cardiff was a very good result but they hadn't won in 4 games and Hull have been on one Hull of a bad run of late

My relatives were saying that our second half against Cardiff was aboit the best they had seen all season against them, and that was before we scored.

Game over today boys. Your away form is shite if you look at the whole season. We're on a high. The ground is going to be rammed. Your going down I'm afraid

The crowd could easily go against them. Lots do not normally go as it is in for a tenner, so could be quiet. Then if we play half decent their crowd can get on their backs. We will have good support today. Can see the crowd working out good for us.

How is the crowd going to help Bristol? There will be 2,300 Sky Blue fans there and it is a well known fact that away supporters pretty much always out sing home supporters when they have a large following.

Can't argue with the reference to the away form...but if you play like you did at Forest we'll be the ones laughing at the end:wave:

My hope is to simply avoid defeat. Their next two games could settle it. I would take a draw.

Gotta be said that when you signed Woody upfront you pretty much gave yourself a better chance of staying up, but Super Richard Keogh made him look silly and bossed him around when we played the shit at their place (Brum)

i still think though one man cant make a team and your squad doesnt have enough depth.

G'luck though, but we will win today!

Your right about the depth. We shall see. Hopefully your wrong. Long coach ride home when you know your going down. I don't live to far from the ground so I'm ok lol

Recent form is the best way to look. 7 unbeaten now. Your recent record is 1 win, 3 draws and 2 defeats. The win was the very lucky one at Florest. Last home game you drew 1-1 with Derby. Before that you lost 2-0 to Watford, who we drew 0-0 at their place with. Before that you lost 2-1 to Cardiff. We just drew 2-2 at their place. So we are getting draws away to the teams you are losing at home to.

Yet you think you will win today?

The Brizzle fans hardly made a noise last season. Just about all the noise came from our end.

Feeling very confident, even if the worst was to happen today, i'd still be fairly confident of staying up. At Forest they were woeful, If we put in a similar performance to what we did on Saturday, we could hit them for 3 or 4. Just ordered my season ticket.

I don't think I agree that a draw would be a good result. It would mean that we are looking to other teams to do us a favour, West Ham have been hit and miss recently, Birmingham are starting to come into some form granted but given Bristols result against forest we can't take anything for granted, most of us were sure Forest would do us a favour, I know bristol didn't play great but its only the result that matter at this time of the season.

If we don't win I'll be bricking it going into the last 4 games.

If we draw I am going to be quietly confident. Last match out West Ham put 4 past Barnsley and Brum have scored 3 goals in each of their last 3 games.

Forest was a freak result for Bristol. Play that same game 10 more times with the teams playing exactly the same way on each occasion and it would be pretty much Forest wins all the way.

Exactly, 9 times out of 10 Forest will win with ease. They don't have a goal scorer and look piss poor. Even a loss today and i'd still back us to stay up.

I feel butterflies but confident for 3 reasons:
1. I can't go today, but it sounds like the atmosphere in Bristol will be like Wimbledon, Spurs et al in '97.
2. The Peterborough game was a good game between two good footballing side and if we cut out the silly errors (I pointed out to my old man we had no one on the post for the corner seconds before Posh equalised) I thinl we'll do the business to stay up this season.
3. I'm listening to Bob Marley tunes, so I'm feeling like everythings going to be alright!

The best thing about today is that we're not looking at other results. I don't think I could tell you who else is playing today. For so long people have been saying 'Bristol will lose today' or 'I can't see ___ getting anything today' and most results consistently making all look foolish.

Today it is down to us and us alone. Can our thin squad make it through 2 games in 3 days? Will we have enough of a presence up front if Platty can't play? Will David Bell play and will he be any good? Will Bristol be as poor as they have been recently? I have no idea what's going to happen, but I've got everything crossed.

It will be a draw today, but Forest will lose. Both City and Brizzle to stay up - Forest will go down with Pompey and Donny.
