Yes it is true but his other leg this time, we wont get anymore money from his transfer in the summer because it will take him 9 months to be fit again. Hope he can get back to the top when fit ,good luck to him.

Just read it this second! What a shame for the lad!

His career really has been hampered with injuries. Almost didn't get a chance with us because of injury, and now these consecutively!

If he hasn't already lost he pace he once had I think this injury will ensure he does!

Feel really sorry for him, he could have made it to the top but after two serious injuries you can't help but feel he will never be the same player again.

What a shame for the lad, he must be devastated, hopefully he'll make a full recovery.
I do hope being thrown into competitive league football at such a young age, hasn't
Contributed to his apparent fragility.

Feel for him, but I'd still take being an injury prone professional footballer over any "normal" job.

He is one of those players that has a lot of talent but does not have a body robust enough to play professional sport. There have always been players like this and you do have to feel sorry for them. Even people like Michael Owen always had some sort of physical weakness that plagued their careers.

Funny, though, that CCFC have had more than their fair share over the years.

He didn't really play until he was 20 or older, so he was hardly thrown in. He nearly got released remember

Early age at 20 ? How many England caps, goals and premiership appearances did Wayne Rooney have by then ? and still going It's just bad luck, it happens.

Comparing Wilson to Rooney is like comparing a Bull frog to a Bull Elephant, players Mature and develop
at different rates, I'm not questioning if he should have been in the 1st team or not.
Just that maybe he played for to long, to often, to soon rather than progress his development in a slightly
More managed fashion, though of course this may have no bearing on his current situation.
It's just a comment,

Wilson was 21-22 when he first properly broke through, that season was make or break for him. If he hadn't established himself in the first team by that age he
wouldnt have made it.

Ridiculous comment in this thread.
