At the moment Spurs would be an awful move for him. They only play one up top and that's Kane. Unless they change their system he would be on the bench for most games or played out of position. Either scenario would not be good for him.
I was looking though at Spurs, currently not finding goals easy to come by and with a Wilson in their squad they could play a twin strike force Kane/Wilson or either or. What this does show though is the madness currently in the Premiership with players valued in £30/40 million bracket yet not likely to be automatic choice in the first teams of a number of the Prem big boys squads, can this go on ?
He's gone a long way in the game Callum Wilson. Hard work and his determination got him onto the international stage. I hope he stays there for many years to come. Fair play to the lad. It's well deserved.
We should belt out “he’s on of our own” next match and remind people where he came from. Sick of this erasure of his CCFC upbringing just cos “came from non-league” sounds more dramatic for the media.
