If there really is a £3m bid for a third division player with only one season behind him, then I think that most (if not all) clubs would accept it.

The issue is that looking back on last season, our successful period was pretty much based on goals from Clarke and Wilson, with useful support from Moussa. If all three are gone, it'll be an interesting test for SP to see how he deals with it.

And people still want to attend Sixfields?

Will you not finally wake up like the rest of us have?

Or do you like a prolonged death?

Nothing unusual here selling our better players but the big difference is how or whether the money is reinvested. Post Leon's departure Waggot & co were unable to provide adequate replacements rory wouldn't come Chuba preferred youth team, the Fonz was disappointing, Eccleston - I think Bernie would have had a bigger impact.

Add to that Manset & Slager it shows when you are after a striker at the bottom end of the market you have to be very lucky and Waggot's luck ran out.

I think if Callum goes he may be joined by a fair few others

the forest rumour seems to be true then, being doing the rounds for ages. If we get anywhere near £3million then great, but we are cov and we wont.

As long as money is invested in our squad. Otherwise we could be looking at playing in Division 4 in another year. We already have a poor squad. It looks like every decent player we had at the end of last season will be gone.

Yet we can't grumble

Keep calm!! Forest mad site are reporting this up date

***Update*** Reports suggest that the two players in question are Matty Fryatt and towering Lars Veldwijk from Excelsior of Holland.

Oh I thought it was all about Sixfields? I take it you wouldnt go and watch a Calum-less team at the Ricoh then?

You know what? At the risk of sounding like italiahorse, if we sell him and we aren't back at the Ricoh this season I'm done.

For 2 million upwards you have to sell really. I hate sisu but come on 2m+ for a academy kid who has had one good season. Simple really. My big gripe will be when not a penny goes getting back to the Ricoh or into the team.

Say we sell for 3m then use 2 million of that and you've got a top 6 finish in my book at least.

3 million , great news for sisu , means nothing to the football club as i doubt we will see a penny

Even with Wilson I couldn't see us staying up next season, losing too many vital players which won't be replaced.

Don't think it will stop at Wilson tbh. I'm waiting for Baker and Fleck to "Up Sticks" as well.

If this is true then this will surely put Sisu/Otium to the test on reinvesting in the team. It's all well and good them saying that the budget is low but when this money comes they have to spend at least 50% back into the team team, they cannot still come out with the bullshit that we will wait until everyone else has done their business because this actually puts us in a position of spending money on some decent players. My only concern then is who we sign as last season didn't fill me with confidence on the transfer side but maybe that was to do with having no money. Suppose we will now see........

For those suggesting that SISU won't reinvest in the team, and that the money will go to fund the losses,I think you are being unduly pessimistic. I imagine as we speak Joy will be busily adding fresh talent to the team, which will proudly be on display tomorrow in Birmingham.

When Wilson is finally sold this summer an sp is given none of the transfer fee to fill the gaps we desperately need I think it won't be long till he's off, I honestly believe that he will go by end sept/oct when the sackings start. He's no platform for his career here with the currant board an no Ricoh area to call home.

I agree but looking at the signings Pressley has made you have to be concerned

Nottingham Forest have beaten both Wolves and Bournemouth to the signing of Coventry striker Callum Wilson.

Forest are set to unveil the Wolves target later today, alongside the signing of Hull City's Matty Fryatt.

Bournemouth had a seven-figure bid rejected over the weekend, whilst Nottingham Forest have made a bid reportedly in-excess of £3million according to local media talk in Coventry.

It's not known whether or not Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett got as far as making a bid, but we were heavily rumoured to be monitoring the situation, but for that kind of money we were never going to get too heavily involved.

This has been going on for a long time and Wilson did not want to go but will not have a choice.

Hope you have not purchased a season ticket. I do not think SP will get a lot of the money. SISU will blame the fans and use it to pay the debts and then say how much they are putting into the club.
