Morning lads,

You reckon if villa stayed up, and we happen to go up... do you think another loan for the season would be in order. Would make sense surely? Going up another division, clearly enjoying his football. Couldn't see him playing in the premier league just yet although I can in the future. Fingers crossed we do go up! #pusb

Out of contract in the summer. Maybe if we go up and move back to the Ricoh he may fancy staying...

Yes would make perfect sense for us and them.

Very long way to go yet though! I just hope we don’t do a Coventry city lol!

He is hitting good form again, as said l believe he’s out of contract but I think Villa have an option not sure exactly what that means perhaps makes him gettable, I think Villa will get relegated so If we had the money I’d try and get him on a permanent deal now.

I sense another Bright Enobakhare situation where fans get their hopes up. There’s little chance he comes here permanently

Somebody said to me the other week and may well be wrong that he was on 8k a week at villa

I would think it's highly unlikely. If he does go back out on loan, it would be to a different club. Clubs don't tend to send players back to the same club so they can experience a different manager, style of play, etc.

What makes you say that?

Because he’s an asset to them worth a few million. Wolves even offered Bright a new contract and their first team is much more difficult to get into than Villa

I would think that we have a slightly better chance of picking up Liam Walsh from Bristol after his contract expires in June than o hare

Yes I’d say so

Bayliss went for that much and supposedly Westbrooke who’s nearly 3 younger is worth that much too

He earned his start yesterday and didn't let us down.
We really are blessed with the midfielders we have at the moment.

He will certainly be on a good screw but you can’t jump up and down for promotion into the championship and then bleat about wages.

There’s Richard Duffy who had about 10 loan spells with us and apart from that I can’t think of any others

He wont be on £8k a week next season if his contract expires, he will be on job seekers allowance.

I don’t think moving back to the Ricoh would influence his decision

Exactly. And even Duffy and Kerr weren't great. All the really good ones with had.

Henderson
Cork
Van Aarnholt
Murphy
Armstrong
Samuel
Bright
Thomas
Kent
Pennington

Etc. We'd all have had back the next season in a heartbeat, and none never did.

The other half of my family are Villa fans, and hes well thought of and will almost certainly be offered an extension.

One of the best loan players we ever had was Stephen Warnock.
Another repeat loanee was Luke Steele.

though we couldn't offer any of those the chance to move up a league with us, we might be able to do that with O'Hare though your general point stands, loanees don't often return to a club.

Villa get relegated lose their most obvious midfield asset (Grealish) to the Prem and he becomes a vital member of their (rather than our) Championship squad next season.

He'll stay at Villa, he's a great player. He got knocked by some of the less clued up types on here but it's clear to me he'll play levels higher than this
