Kitching to Doyle would be the biggest position upgrade since we went from Andy Marshall to Kieran Westwood.

I was wrong about Simms so could be wrong about Kitching but I don’t think he is good enough for top half championship. Could potentially loan him to a lower champ side and bring Doyle in. Would be more than happy with that.

He played there for England U19s when they won the Euros in 2022.

Pretty sure he wore no. 3 in that final. I was told he was signing as a LB.

Yep. More of an inverted role where he moved into a LCB position in possession.

Why do people instantly jump to the conclusion that Kitching is off. No way! We just bloody signed him for a load of money. Zero chance we give up on him and take an inevitable loss on his fee.

He showed quality in some big games but admittedly had a poor end to the season. I'd say there is plenty more from him to come.

Also loads of teams have a fully right footed CB pairing, no reason why 2 left footers can't play together
