Not sure I'm in the "he was class today" camp. We looked so vulnerable from every cross that came in before Fadz came on. For their goal Joao had time to pick his spot.

He's improved massively and is a very good young player but still got a lot of work to do.

João found a pocket of space in midfield to receive a pass, I thought McNally was the one that should of reacted and closed him down as he was nearest? I think it was one of them where they thought he was a bit too far out and he wouldn't take the shot on so early.

We haven't always looked commanding in the air with McFadz in there, Blackpool home and Blackburn away. Stoke and QPR exposed McFadz lack of pace.

I rate Doyle, especially given his age and he is the most versatile of all our centre backs. He has played in all three slots during the season and apart from a couple of games has looked pretty solid whether he plays left, right, or centre of the three.

His progression means I think it’s a premier league loan next season

His improvement has been impressive. He really struggled without Fadz next to him (as did Panzo) but he's learning quickly. He's physically much stronger now which helps

Just nonsense. They’ve lost 1 in 7 to us and drawn with Burnley Luton and milwall

Was sitting a lot lower yesterday and up close you can see just how much of a unit he is, looks like the biggest lad in the squad.

Think he’s got a chance with England just on the basis he’s left footed and Maguire is currently occupying that slot.

More chance he’ll play for England than he’ll play for Man City

I like Doyle but he’s replaceable, make City a silly offer about £2mill perhaps we know they need the money but move on, we need our own defenders not loans imo.

I tend to agree. Immensely talented player who i am confident will improve massively over the next couple of years. His passing ability is the sort of thing that would appeal to Guardiola but the lack of pace is an issue. Can he compensate for that through improving his reading of the game? Like you I wouldn't be surprised if he plays for England in due course.

It's not nonsense though is it? They're in the relegation zone and didn't have their main striker yesterday.

They were missing Andy Caroll who is a huge player for them, and would of been a real test for our defence.
I think Fadz would of started if Caroll was available for Reading.

They might with a decent sell on clause, Man City have a stack of players in a similar boat to Doyle they can’t sign them all, JWE being another.

Disgraceful. I can't believe that's not a red card in the rules but a defensive handball on the line is

Think that is harsh. Tremendous in the air, very good left peg and good at holding the ball up. Obviously past his best, but has a lot of goals in a poor team.

One less than Godden who has only played 16 all season and is supposedly on his last legs.

No chance they take that little. Interest from higher placed teams and they sold 2 equally untried youngsters to Southampton for far more than that last season.

The lad is brilliant, and will go all the way to the very top in my eyes.

He's only 19, so still developing physically, but he has stood up to the demands of the championship very well.

When Fadz was injured he was the only centre half who stood up to the challenge in my eyes. Would love to have him back, but unless we get promotion, he'll be off to bigger and better things (he may even be if we do get promoted, after all Sunderland came up last year and he still came here)

I'd seen him play for the England U21 side, so was already quite impressed with him before he even came to us

I think he could have a big future ahead of him

Absolutely outstanding yesterday. His composure on the ball and passing range is really good. Having a settled back three has made a huge difference the last couple of months.

Would be great if we could get him back next year - unless we go up, I think it's unlikely.

For 19 years old he's so good.

Excellent on the ball, good in the air, good positioning.

He is similar in style to Stones. Left footed, ball playing defender. No reason why he couldn’t play for City if he carries on his development (and Pep stays at city)
