This lad is going to have some career. Can you think of many players that had played over 30 games in league one and over 30 games in the championship at his age?

McNally has been taking all the plaudits recently but I think you’d be hard pressed to find another 19 year old defender in the country as good as Doyle

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him make it at Man City

He's the type of player who would look incredible for Man City spraying around 40 yard passes but would struggle in a team fighting against relegation.

He will go out on loan again next year probably to a lower end prem team to further his development, he has a chance of playing for England.

Don’t think so, too many obvious flaws. Not to say he’s no good, think he’ll go on to have a solid PL career. But England? No.

I agree, he lacks a yard of pace, in our system he has a very defensive LWB next to him, he's got Fadz next to him in a 3 and 2 defensive midfielders in front of him. He is extremely talented, his silky passing disguises his weaknesses. I'm not even entirely sure he will have a solid PL career. He may do, but I do think that yard of pace may hold him back. He will definitely have a good career out of football.

As for next season, I think it will be a season back in the championship or maybe abroad in Holland, I don't think he gets in a PL starting 11 at the minute.

I think he’s more likely to become a left sided midfielder and I don’t mean a LWB not got the pace for that he has a great left peg, can tackle, carry the ball and pass but has the odd lapses defensively but still a kid.

Can’t see him getting in Man City team defence or midfield.
In my opinion if he wants regular first team football he has a big career decision ahead of him.

If he gets a loan to the prem next year he doesn’t want to be somewhere like a Burnley as they are going to ship tons of goals but teams further up won’t play him enough.

He probably will go out on loan again but he needs to play ,a loan to a lower end PL club the bottom 9 or 10 all fighting for survival its likely at best be on the bench.

Nah, top end Championship club next season and then he’d be ready for PL football.

Could do, being very 1 footed and not been really fast is not a barrier to playing CB for England.

His pace will be an issue at the very top

If an English centre back has a solid PL career then surely there must be a high chance they play for England at some point? Your statement is contradictory

I don't know. You're right about the number of games by his age, but it's hard to judge. He still looks totally lost at times but he is young, so why wouldn't he.

Helpful answer eh.

Is it? Plenty of examples I’m thinking of. Craig Dawson, Ben Mee, Adam Webster, Jack Stephens. That kind of ilk.

He reads the game well for his age and experience. And a lot of that is down to help from McFadz.

How far he goes in the game will depend on how he continues to progress over the next couple of seasons. Too early to tell but he certainly looks to have a decent career ahead of him.

When Jordan Henderson was here I never thought he would go on and play for England. But a change of position worked for him. So who knows about Doyle? Would be nice if he could kick on and make it to the very top.

But what ever happens, I think he definitely needs to leave Many City for him to progress.

Think he’s class, as a comparison, where was McNally at Doyle’s age?

Him McNally and panzo r all class imo. Added on to mcfadz experience and that's such a solid unit of CBs

Rose ain't bad for a 5th choice either.

No idea, these comparisons can hit and miss. The lad Ferguson at Albion and The boy at Napoli are truly from left field… Doyle’s quality is undeniable tho. Even if we had a stinker he’d shine like a diamond in a goats ass I suspect

He looked lost, they all did. You could still see he had something tho despite the shambles that burton at “home” was. I actually think the boy from palace showed something as well in fairness

Not sure I'm in the "he was class today" camp. We looked so vulnerable from every cross that came in before Fadz came on. For their goal Joao had time to pick his spot.

He's improved massively and is a very good young player but still got a lot of work to do.

Wasn’t concerned about any cross bar the one in the second half. Staggering stat we’ve only conceded 3 goals from set pieces
