Have only seen him for two sub appearances which isnt that much to judge but not done much so far

Difficult to judge but he has looked very poor. Cody wins more headers than the 'big man'. Perhaps Platt weren't so bad after all....

.....in fact I reckon ROD would have had more impact today

It is difficult to judge, but I don't think he looks great, certainly isn't going to set the world alight.

i also like to see my target man win the ball, lay it out wide then bust a gut getting into the box. he layed it out a couple of times then just strolled into the area with the cross going way beyond him. not lively enough to be a box player for me, from what ive seen so far.

Platter better. Won everything far better touch, battled from more.

He was decent for Derby last year when he played.

Today he won absolutely nothing in the air. Hopefully just had a bad day.

To be fair Sutty, he only started 11 league games for
Derby do he couldn't have been that decent.....he did score against us though....who hasn't?!

That's why I added the 'when he played' caveat.

Most Derby fans were a bit surprised that he was going on loan to a lower level.

Doesn't look fit to me.
Certainly for six foot plus didn't get up for headers, like the previuos poster said Cody looks like he could easily out jump him.
Beginning to think what he actually brings to the table.
And yes everybody scores against the City, Healy had one kick today and yep you guessed it.

To be honest I wasnt surprised he came on but was amazed mcdonald came off. I thought elliot got worse as the game went on. With thorn talking about bringing in another loan striker I think today highlights that if mcdonald were to get injured we need a bit more mobility up front. Elliot and ball should not be on the pitch together.

I disagree, I thought McDonald and Elliot did some nice link up play in the 1st half.

1st half I agree they linked up well. 2nd half when ball was warming up I thought it had to be for elliot. I thought he looked shattered... Which to be honest is understandable as hes had very little preseason. Ball amd elliot I never want to see used as a partership. One of them needs to partner mcdonald.

Sorry I misread your other post! I thought it said Elliot and McDonald for some reason  I mentioned Elliot looked shattered just as Ball looked like he was coming on, and was surprised that McDonald was taken off.
