Good Afternoon all long term reader here, remember some of you from GMK and even Lets all sing together days
Next Monday I will be travelling to Wembley from Truro in Cornwall and was interested to know if any fellow South West SBA are making the trip and are willing to share travel costs or even any tips as Train and Flight prices are quite extortionate
Hi mate, I’ll be heading over to Wembley from near Bristol. Can’t suggest any transport tips but if you’re heading up in your car from south west and wanted to split costs then that could be something I’d be interested in. Cheers
Hello mate that'll be something I'd be interested in to, im looking for travel to wembley im in totnes devon vertually next to paignton few of us are looking at a mini bus but not sure what's going on yet would rather know asap what travel I have so I wouldn't have to worry lol
I used to go to uni down in Falmouth - My advice, try splitting your ticket up. Truro to Plymouth to Bristol etc and play around with that. I used to do it and save some money that way.
If you’re not pushed for time either then go to Birmingham and down to London, that used to be a bit cheaper as well.
I also found t was cheaper to fly Newquay to London Gatwick once than get the train.
If all else fails try the pasty connection on Facebook, there’s always a few people driving up and down advertising space!
Thanks for advise Tomh have flew Newquay to Birmingham if you book early enough you can get some great deals but prices to Gatwick quite expensive this short notice and will be traveling back to Cornwall after final whistle
Bob & Matt I will be driving Via M5 early Mon morning intend to make the most of the day so if its something you will be interested in lets us know not sure if driving all way to Wembley yet or dumping car on the outskirts then getting the tube for remainder of journey
I'm driving from Stroud so not that far west, but when going to that London I usually park at Windsor and get the train to Paddington, buying a ticket that includes tube and bus fares too. Having said that, I've parked at hillingdon tube before as it's only a few stops to Wembley.
I think there's a fair few of us in Bristol on the sly. 5 of us going up by car and possibly staying over. My son's Bristolian friend is slowly turning from Bristol Rovers blue to Cov Skyblue because we keep taking him to matches - much to his Dad's disappointment!
