So, do we perform better against teams that play 3 at the back and struggle against teams that play a flat back 4. Vik certainly loves running the gaps left in behind a wing back and I know our wing backs tend to get held back when a team has full backs and wide-ish midfielders.
I swear Oggy mentioned this last season too.
Time for the statos to earn their wedge....

If I was going to play against coventry , I'd match our formation , as the Preston manager said , coventry usually beat teams with 4atb

It’s the opposite. I think Derby are the only team to play a back 4 against us this season that we didn’t beat. Forest, Reading, Blackpool, Fulham all played a back 4 off the top of my head, not sure about Middlesbrough and Cardiff.

Just shows that the stats are wrong. I’m sure @The Philosopher will agree

some stats

we are 2 points ahead of our title winning season after 15 games (although we did get 36 points from the last 14 that year)
we are also 3 points ahead of our play off season which was never a spectacular season

The neilson season we had 30 points at this stage but then took 7 points from the next 8 games
the highest crowd that season was 18,804

the mcallister season we were on 39 points after 25 games but only won 1 of the next 21 games

so take nothing for granted from those last 2 seasons but we are well placed
