They need to be pressured then.

1. If Wasps and the pool are moving in, is it physically possible the club can still be there?
2. If not, why not? Costs / space etc?
3. If yes, get sorting it then.

That is the main one.

Agree. They simply need to undertake a feasibility study of the options in relation to the facility and prospects for any redevelopment. It would be a positive step if both parties sat down face to face and discussed this! It's not good practice to air views via the media. However, it is a reflection on the appalling state of the relationships between all the parties.

Things are coming to a head now, Sisu will have to stop the court actions and pay up, to get a seat around the table, and even then they will hold no cards. They are being pushed into a corner in an attempt to get them of the club and city in my opinion, so the quicker Sisu make a decision on which way they go this tit for tat will go on and get even more messy.

The CCC and all involved are making it very clear that they will carry on in the direction and road they have set without it harming them, Sisu have to work out if the rd they have taken is going to allow them to carry on. Either way and as always our club is used, smeared and smashed to bits, for a game of who has the biggest balls in the play ground, i truly believe that having new owners will help create a better future and the only way this club and city can move forward as one.

Pay up for what though? Have they refused to pay rent at the higgs or anything like that?

I'm hoping that the council and Higgs are playing the long game where they are trying to get SISU to sell the club. Once new owners are in place then everything will be different. CCC will do anything and everything to get the club back to the top. Butts Park Development - of course great idea....... Need the road infrastructure changed - of course no problem. Etc etc....

I know this is pure fantasy but this is all I've got to cling onto in terms of our clubs future. Sad times.

And all the time that CCC and Higgs 'play the long game' the actions they undertake become irreversible. Unless of course you are thinking about when SISU leave and the Wasps lease expires in 247 years...

If SISU leave - which will be when they choose to, how do you expect new owners to salvage everything that has already been sold off to a franchise???

As usual the victims in this 'game' are CCFC. But you go ahead and support the people who are intent on driving us into oblivion.

What about 2 paper cups and a length of string, I won't believe a word of it until he's tried that.

Pay up as in paying CCC court fees I would guess?

i am no fan of sisu but it is clear they are being shafted re higgs centre, some may say they deserve it ,i think we should consider the ramifications very carefully of having no academy.
Do we really want to let this happen in my view this is more important than anything and coventry sports the council and wasps should make their intentions clear

Re-read what I posted. I don't support SISU, CCC, Higgs or anyone other than CCFC.

I hope this mess gets sorted tomorrow. But that's not going to happen. So I simply hoped that eventually SISU leave. Not because of my love for CCC. But simply because new owners look to be the only way CCC will help and support the club. Juvenile I know . But that's how CCC and Higgs seem to be acting. Like kids.

Sisu have been told stop court actions and pay the costs and things can move forward, do you not think this is all connected and its not all parties coming together to squeeze Sisu into making a decision on the road they take.

If you don't then fine, my opinion is its all linked and all with a bigger agenda than the higgs, I have also said i dont think its right or correct if this is the plan.

As I have said previously, this is all part of justifying the council's decision to sell to wasps. They can ill afford for the franchise to fail. Those who believe it will change if sisu leave are dreaming.

All due respect Zak, no harm in dreaming of a better future, and i for one would support a change in owner to find out if change will come. What we know is what we are told, i agree with the franchise part but the city is better off with multiple sporting teams doing well, at the moment the CCC and all other parties involved have decided enough is enough and dealing with Sisu is not an option.

SISU have been told to stop legal action before CCC will talk to them about moving to the Butts.
That doesn't or at least shouldn't have any impact on CSF talking to CCFC.

I agree, but as said in my opinion its all connected. Its all parties sticking together and saying to Sisu stop, pay up and then lets see where we go from there. I also think they are trying to squeeze sisu out.

Nor CCC talking to the owners of BPA

I have not read anywhere SISU have anything to negotiate there at present

CCFC owners are multi millionaires, yet all they own land wise in Coventry area is Ryton. Why haven't they invested in their own infra-structure including an Academy instead of relying on someone else
Coventry Sports Foundation is a charitable Trust and limited company with a mission to;
provide a wide range of sporting, recreational, educational and social activities to under-represented and disadvantaged community groups and individuals within Coventry.
So my question is why is it their responsibility to bend over backwards to support some investors in the Cayman Islands

How is talking to ccfc about extending the academy lease at the Higgs mean that they are bending over backwards to support some investors in the cayman islands?

You've been brainwashed mate

It's only the Malta one they are helping which - given you never mentioned then in your original post - I suspect you are more than happy with.

There's a very strange influx here of people who don't post for a while then re-appear.

I am pretty sure that saving the academy is something everybody can agree on isn't it?

Could the planned 50-metre swimming pool for the Higgs be built and the existing indoor pitch retained?
“Probably not.”

It is quite obvious the Higgs would go down the "They are moving away route", was obvious before they even spoke.

Sadly Dave the damage has been done and bridges are far from being fixed before anything changes. Its not about some trying to convince or spin, its the truth unfortunately Sisu have pissed everyone off that matters, they have now become the hunted instead of being the hunters...

Nope, pretty much shows we are being forced out and hiding behind the "They said they were moving out" line.

Funny though, the door was open the other week. Now it is probably not viable with the pool and Wasps are about

When you have supported CCFC for over 55 years then have a go at me. Just because I don't often post on your forum don't mean I don't care. But hey I guess it's your toy so that gives you the right to have a go at me

Indeed it doesn't. Personally the conclusion I draw from reading the two sets of responses is that we want to stay but Higgs / CSF don't want us, possibly as it clashes with Wasps plans.

It's not a done deal yet so instead of arguing with each other about whose fault it is etc get together. A lot of people say SISU one day will be gone that's the future the loss of the academy will be final and if we don't stick together it will be gone.
