Last season Wasps had 19 games at the Ricoh
We had 14 Saturday home games
There are 39 Saturdays from August to April
Plenty of Saturdays for both teams to be comfortably accommodated.

FL can't insist that we have priority over Wasps.
They could presumably prevent us from playing at the Ricoh if a satisfactory arrangement couldn't be reached, but they will surely expect the two clubs to come to an agreement.
As we don't have any arrangement at the Ricoh going forward it would have to be part of the discussions.
Seems to me that Wasps are putting up obstacles which can be removed in exchange for a better deal (for Wasps)

I'm sure they do want a better deal, we pay very little and they are still making losses !

Makes me glad I have no plans to renew my season ticket. As I travel 40 miles I am not interested in negotiating Friday rush hour traffic or midweek evening matches in Winter.
I want Saturday at 3pm or will pick and choose.

Nothing at all about him making money. There'll still be same number of home games whether Saturday's or Sundays.

It does not look like there will need to be many changes, only on weekends where there was a City match on Sat followed by a Wasps game on Sun, how often did that happen once or twice?

The fixtures are independent. Any that are the same we will have to change. The two bodies won't sort it out.

If it's not an issue why is Eastwood asking for a change at all?

I presume he is asking because as it currently stands Wasps have to play in Sundays and it is better for Wasps if they play on Saturdays. If it gets agreed. Then what we do isn't his problem and we would need to ask the FL to arrange our fixtures so we don't clash with Wasps?
So wouldn't it just come down to us to put our case forward to the FL about our fixtures. Hopefully if SISU still have the relationship they had with the FL they would be help out.

So can the football league say no, stick with the primacy rule unless you ask the RFC to arrange your fixtures to be on the days CCFV are away?

How can the club sell season tickets on the basis of 15 plus Saturday games and then change to a Sunday.
Doesn't effect me next season as have not yet renewed but if I had bought a ticket on above basis I would be really pissed off.

Again. How do Swansea and Ospreys manage it then? They ain't the only professional football and Rugby team ground sharing either without issue of both having Saturday games.

What a load of bollocks. Every team in the country has games moved around from what is published at the start of the season because of things like cup runs. Either their own or the opposition. That's before you even get into them being moved around to suit TV schedules.

Is there literally anything that you won't make up?

Wasps had Saturdays last season and moved back to Sunday this season.
Take a breath it wasn't a problem.

This is bad for ccfc and for us fans but I can hardly blame Wasps for wanting to play their home games in their stadium on the day of the week of their choice. After next season we may not be there at all...won't be an issue then. Our owners messed up...we didn't get the stadium that we felt was ours and the rest as they say is history.

So if this can't work at the Ricoh for all the reasons Grendull has made up presumably it won't work at the BPA for the same made up reasons? Where are we going to be able to play then?

assuming they get this passed, this season, it looks like 5 games would have been affected.....

SAT 17Sep 2016 Oldham Sky Bet League One H...........................Sunday 18 Bristol Rugby 2.30pm, Ricoh Arena
SAT 26Nov 2016 Milton Keynes Dons Sky Bet League One H......Sunday 27 Sale Sharks 2.30pm, Ricoh Arena
SAT 25Feb 2017 Swindon Swindon Sky Bet League One H...........Sunday 26 Gloucester Rugby 2.30pm, Ricoh Arena
SAT 25Mar 2017 Bristol Rovers Sky Bet League One H.................Sunday 26 Worcester Warriors 2.30, Ricoh Arena
SAT 8Apr 2017 Peterborough Sky Bet League One H....................Sunday 9 Northampton Saints 2.30pm, Ricoh Arena

Could CRFC do the same when we go to the butts next summer ? I would have though CRFC wouldn't want to go head to head with playing their games at same time as wasps.

I wouldn't have thought it would have too many implications on policing etc if we have 4-5k at the butts for our games ?

The fixtures body takes all sorts of issues into account, like Party Conferences, events like the Nottingham Goose Fair and Shrewsbury Flower Show.
The draft schedule is tweaked and sent out to all clubs in March, with a form asking them to respond with any specific requests.
Behind the scenes at the EFL: Fixtures Q&A with Competitions Manager Paul Snellgrove
Clubs have the opportunity to submit date requests. They all have local events taking place to take into consideration – music festivals, race meetings, rugby matches, international fixtures, political party conferences – and we try to avoid all of those.

Didn't we have a game moved to a weekday a couple of seasons ago because of the gaming festival at the Ricoh?

I remember going to the midweek game and most of the car park was also closed because of a massive big top style marquee.

when we are at BPA next summer. if we are playing Sat and CRFC playing at home on Sunday, lets say on 5 weekends (like it would have been this season with wasps) it would make sense to BOGOF tickets for those going to either game. Theme them "in our Coventry homes" weekends

Quite obvious isn't it.

It would work out better for us if we could play alternate weeks. No more them chewing the pitch up on a Friday and us playing on it the next day.

If their fixture list comes out first the FL should be able to sort something out. If ours is out first then their sporting body should sort something out....or carry on as we do now.

Thats an acceptable solution and too easy to work. You have to factor in every single "what-if" to find a reason not to do this. People at the top need to make things complicated. Gives them a reason to justify change.

Lying? How's that? I said fixtures are moved due to exceptional circumstances? I'm sure it's fine and dandy that they've applied for primacy to people like you and Tony (notice he liked your post) who wouldn't know what day of the week we are playing?

I guess daring to criticise your mates at wasps has bought you out on Sunday

No mates of mine, never been to a rugby match, rugby is boring, how many rugby matches you been too, you already admitted being on Wasps mailing list for free tickets, that must be because you go to see them or send your clients there, just as bad.

But the other one only lies when suits so to say it doesn't get a free pass isn't strictly true when there's a queue of posters on here ready to line that one up whenever anyone judges SISU.
