Can't find the thread, but there was a chat about a lack of places to drink pre-game and someome mentoned Dhillons Brewery.

Just noticed Byatt's Brewhouse on Lythalls Lane and wondered if everyone was aware of that and if they had been.

It's very close to the ground.

Have seen it mentioned, is it in the bit just up from Cherry Tree?

Yep.

Just think it's closer than Dhillons and is open 12-6 today.

Dhillon's is over the road from the Ricoh by scrap yards isn't it?

I have been there and have in fact done the tour. It's got a great bar and if you like good beer you will have a whale of a time. Recommend it to anyone and yes there is parking there.

Well certainly a boon then to fans saying there is a lack of places to drink. It's only about 4 mins walk to the Ricoh.

The guy who runs it is a genuine Cov City fan as well, so he is worth supporting.

Yes, I believe his name is Lee and he runs the place with his wife Shelly. He does the brewing and she does the business side. Seemed like very nice people when i met them and the beer is good too.

Is it a decent size? How many do you think it could easily accommodate?

Takes us about 10-15 mins walk From Byatts to our seats in Block 17.

However, Dhillons do Bar snacks too, which is nice!

10-15 mins? Really?

I will have to time myself from Lythall's Lane. I thought it was much quicker than that. I am in Block 20.

He sells stuff like peanuts, pork scratchings, crisps and batches. So unlikely to give away free stuff

They've got an upstairs seating area as well as the downstairs bar. I reckon you could get 100 in there at a pinch.

Sounds an ideal place for fans who like a bit of real ale before a game.
