Might start off as a 30m - 45m stadium, but you can bound sure it will end up costing substantially more.

Where did this £70 mil price tag come from?
Have the council put it up for Sale?

Is that what the Ricoh would cost to purchase?

No Brainer -- the Ricoh, as it has extra revenue streams from other events/conferences/ has a Hotel/Casino and a much better long -term investment. Hypothetical question anyway as £70 mil price tag is guess work.

Maybe they're a 'plant' and have realised it's going to cost more. It's crazy on here at the minute, it's like 'divide and conquer'.

OP: I don't thnk the Ricoh is worth 70m, but for the Club it's better to be there however, they need to own it and this isn't going to happen whilst SISU are here IMO.

Is that the revenue streams CCFC don't get access to?

So to sum up the £70 mil is just a wild guess and it's not for sale anyway!

Presumably we would have access if we bought it (as set out in the question).

Or do you think that SISU are so stupid that they'd buy it, but not get access to them?

the cost to build the ricoh was £113 million. its now an established business in many areas but runs at a loss. its a fair estimate that the value of the arena and ground (the ground opposite to the ricoh is the money spinner dont forget) £70m is about right

The £113 milion was for the total development of the BG site not cost of the building the stadium.
Tesco paid £40+ mil for their huge chunk of the land.
There was also millions in govenment grants to clear up the contaminated site.

Add the fact that ACL have a 50 year lease and have already sold long leases, for the
casino / hotel / catering, the Ricoh has very little real value.

Lets add another 35-45 million to our 70 million debt, and still not own a single blade of grass in it , great idea Einstein

Yeah, £59M was paid to the council for the land because it was the council that had bought the land from British Gas for £13M-18M.

Then the council invested all the money from they got from selling it on to Tesco into the stadium build, they didn't trouser it, they used the profit to pay for the arena.

So that was a council investment..
