Sorry if I'm missing some obvious reason here, but why can't we buy the Butts Park Arena and ground share with Cov RFC?
Much more suitable size and I'm sure it could be expanded. Could be a top atmosphere up there and at least we wouldn't have to spend 30m+ on some stadium outside cov. We'd also have fishers much craved pie money and would secure both the rugby club and our future so surely something could be done?
again, if I've missed something obvious (other than our illogical owners ignorance) then sorry just seems too simple for us!

Is it now owned by the council?

If so that's probably why.

Correct Ian1779 it is owned by the council and leased to the rugby club. Also I think they've started building around it so any significant expansion would be an issue.

It lacks space to redevelop I would have thought. The one stand they have holds 3000 people, the temp stand was removed because of health and safety.

it was leased to CRFC on a 125 year term in 2010 when they came out of admin.
