We're all talking about the club and it's future so I don't know how you work that out.

Oh wait. Is it because we are talking about the club it makes us the council tag team?

You could say the same about Tony and his brilliant Grendullnomics quip. There's definitely some strange folk on this forum.

Wasps are mentioned because you are addicted to them. At the time the shares and the loan were to be negotiated, Wasps were in Wycombe trying to get planning permission for a stadium. No-one could have known what Wasps were willing to pay for a stadium that they did not know was available. They are irrelevant to the calculation now and they were then.
Wasps are mentioned because they bought the stadium, the same way you mentioned sisu should have done the same as their methods in raising bonds. The way that everybody was going mental about the possibility of happening

Value wise, they should have had 3 independent values and got a good idea from that, not forgetting They quoted over 25m for just the revenue.

Oh, and is not 35m a bit more than Wasps raised in 6,5% bonds against the stadium and prestige of a Rugby club? Could not SISU Capital have done the same? Revaluing the Ricoh in their sole posession to 45m ( as opposed to a charity and a council ) and offering the prestige ( higher naming rights etc. ) of a football league club with a long tradition?

Wasps pulled it off with a lesser product ( Rugby as opposed to football ).
I'm not sure SISU could have done it through the football club due to the level of debt to the owners and no written guarantee that their loans wouldn't be called in. SISU could possibly have done it through a new entity but then we are back in the situation of the football club stlll being a tenant etc. Then with the levels of interest due on the bonds how would a football rent be able to stay at current levels and give increased access to revenue streams?

It's actually a play on Raganomics. Which was Ronald Reagan's self labeled half arsed master plan for the American economy. Funnily enough that was a miserable failure. Some thought actually went into that and it's comparable.

Whereas Torch clearly just doesn't like us talking about the club so is trying to make out that we're making excuses for the council when in fact the only person who's mentioned them if I'm not mistaken is Torch himself. Clearly he doesn't want people considering the future of CCFC which is indeed a strange thing for a member of a CCFC forum to do.

There is no evidence whatsoever they were not approached by the council.

We know that CCFC were not considered acceptable to the council

We also know that Richardson was looking at the site before he even purchased wasps.

As usual from you lots of rhetoric and no hard facts to support the statement.

TF was refering to investors. The same investors who won't deal with CCC, but are looking for a site in Cov.

Whether or not they had investors, the deal was to be - theoretically and with hindsight - to be had for at most that price.

If they don't have that sort of money, then we are renting from Wasps for the foreseeable future. Like it or not.

Your dig at me though, is wrong. My point is valid ( whether or not it could ever have taken place ). What Wasps paid is not relevant. What we should have paid is relevant. The Ricoh was worth more to us long term. We now have nothing. We must either pay a lot of money and lose years of revenue building a new stadium, or be at Wasps' mercy. If we had secured the Ricoh at more than Wasps' paid ( obviously up to a figure ) we would still be better off than we are now. The only way that could change, is if Wasps give us a good rental deal with some revenue. That is, IMO, dependant on the Naming Rights and our profile. A cheap rent with revenue would be better than building a new stadium, at least for the time being. Population may go up, boundaries may change, land may become available, but short term it looks as if renting the Ricoh is the only option.

Not nice to call Martcov a sisu tag team member. He is, however, doing a sterling lob defending wasps piling debt onto a stadium with an over flated valuation. He even claims they may have actually built a stadium if they had planning permission. Given that their risk rating is the same as sisu and their debt ratio enormous that's hilarious.

Astute thinks Martcov is talking bullocks as he has said that this strategy will mean they go bust in 6 years. Looks like Martcov has already upset his new forum friend.

You've upset both as you have called them the sisu tag team.

Astute will soon be calling you a fascinating nickname like herpes if your not careful.

You said the article had been pulled, as a reason that it was false.

I couldn't care if you say thrush, I used to when I was cool. Just wondering why Macca only picked out a certain comment as immature.

Saying that Grendel matches you well. An ugly little troll

The value to us is what mattered. How high could we have bid/ negotiated. Wasps were not on the radar when we should have sewn it up. P.S. I am not interested in Wasps. That's somerhing for Torch or Grendel. Your fellow Wasps addicts.

My point is that people on here say "you know nothing so you throw insults" and "you are a sad old man because you just throw insults"

Then they follow it on the next line with an insult.

Because I have finally had enough of the insults. I have had enough of him trying to pick faults all the time. And yes he has finally won. He has irritated me. If he followed you around the same you would have had enough ages ago.
