So from 1,000 to 700?

Bury's average is so high because of the low amount of fans they have at home.

Congratulations on working that one out.

couple of good signings for Bury the last few days

Don't FC United of Manchester groundshare at Gigg Lane ?

Should be a good close game, I favour slightly a home win by the odd goal, 2-1 maybe

Let's not kick off with away fans on here. They appear to have a half decent away following. End of story.

700-1000 would be a good following..............If we're not pissing this League by 10 clear points I doubt our fickle bunch will take that many for the return.

FCUM do ground share with us well until the end of this season anyway.

We might not have thousands and thousands of fans but the fans we do have back our club as much as they can. We love our club and we will follow them whether that's in the Premier league or UniBond.

I would much rather have the fans we have now than 15,000 that don't give a damn.

Went to Bury last season, there fans will wonder what has hit them when they see our stadium. Must be honest, Bury was a shock to me, not just the game (we lost again) but what a place, its a dump.

We NEED to win. But we probably won't. Not the end of the world, In a way I kinda want us to lose by a goal and then get hammered by Birmingham in the cup. Seems losing in the cup is the best way for the club to get AT to fuck off!

I don't get why people think we have a god given right to hammer teams every week, we won't.

Hopefully we will scrape a 2-1 weekend this weekend though.

We will not sack AT, why should SISU do that it will cost money and anyway who else would want to take us on?

People keep saying that but I think there would be plenty of people. Its not like we are fighting relegation. Sure we are skint and have SISU running the club but look at our team. There is no reason why a good manager could not push for promotion this season. Andy Thorn MIGHT get us mid table. Unfortunately due to the way he sets the team up we will play the same average performance against every team. Just look at last season... How many games did we get hammered in, and vice versus. We grind out rubbish performances against all teams and hope for the best. That isn't a good game plan.

We'd make for an easy gig for an unemployed manager. Do well and you're the hero, fail and you can just blame the board.

Without wishing to make this a Thorn out thread (honest) let's kill that myth - there would be at least 20 people apply on day one. I am not saying many would be the calibre you want but no question of that. Also regarding paying off the manager you again can't comment as no-one knows the term of his contract. Some "rolling" contracts for 12 months are actually monthly contracts with 28 days severance pay - so who knows.

Actually it's a 6 month rolling contract. That's what AT said on SBW. But you're right it could still be just a month's severance pay.

Why are you called the Shakers?

Is it because you are all alcoholics? Or do you belong to some weird religious cult?

If that is the case then the owners cannot have much faith in him and he cannot be confident of a job elsewhere. Surely it's for the season?

Allegedly they had a very charasmatic chairman once who said before a match "We'll shake them. In fact, we're the Shakers."

Many many many moons ago before a cup game with Everton (I think) the manager or owner at the time gave a team talk saying we'll give them a shaking in we are The Shakers!

Then over 100 years later i shared this story with the city of Conventry

Anyways have you lot got John Fleck?

If we don't score within the first 10 mins small sections of the crowd will start to get on the players backs. If we haven't scored within 20 the boos will start after every mis-placed pass. If we go a goal down the atmosphere will be reminiscent of the Grimsby 2001 game just after we came down from the Prem.

Happy days.

i remember that and a proper protest after, think it was this game where strach got the sack

What's ours? We're 5 times bigger as a city and have the league football all to ourselves. They've got two huge Manchester clubs (and Bolton) on their doorstep. Not sure we're in any position to laugh at their attendance.

Enjoy your day out in Coventry you Bury lads. Suggest you get here early and try out pre drinks in the Casino. Generally Coventy fans are a very friendly lot and I personally would rather have Northerners here than Southerners lol

Still think we will win 3-1 though.

I know the President - Fred Mason.

I remember he once had his house broken into when he was holidaying, and the perpetrators nicked his tele, and even used his BMW 850 to drive it away in. I met with him the day after. Not happy!

The age of this story being calibrated by an 8-series being central to the narrative.....

Can't see us scoring many, or keeping a clean sheet. Still hopeful of a win though. 2-1 sky blues. Cody and wood to score
