Was always going to happen so Sky can build it up as a David against Goliath match beforehand.

Hadn't heard this. Do you know what time? Guessing early-ish, as that's a Sunday?

BURTON Albion’s third home game of the League One season will be broadcast live on Sky TV.
The Brewers Pirelli Stadium clash with Midlands rivals Coventry City has subsequently been put back 24 hours and will now kick off at 2.30pm on Sunday, September 6.

It will give Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s reshaped Burton Albion squad an early chance to shine.

Assistant manager David Oldfield said: “We are hopeful that the fans will really enjoy the season and playing clubs like Coventry demonstrates the challenge we are going to have in League One.

“Having that game on television is a good opportunity to showcase the club.

“Playing fantastic football clubs like Coventry will be a big challenge but one we are looking forward to".

Still going to the game, see if I can get my ugly mug on TV.

Hopefully it will be a good atmosphere.

It will be a tough game, they have a squad who knows how to win, we.... don't even have a squad... yet.

Any ideas on how many tickets we will get? I presume not much given the capacity so expect the tickets to go bloody quick.

I will get one. I might be a bit big but never had to buy two tickets yet.

1,600 maximum and that's only if the police agree with it. Otherwise it's 900

It's San Marino away that weekend. I can now show my commitment to the cause by interrupting my afternoon on the beach to find a pub to watch it in.

EDIT: Before anyone informs me yes I know SM is landlocked. Will only be there for a few hours for the game as the country as a whole has as much life as a countryside hamlet. Staying in Rimini.

Away terrace holds just over 1200 and they can give up to half of their main stand.

They've given clubs 2000 before now, I'd imagine Sunday on the telly we wouldn't take that anyway....unless we're off to a flyer.

We would sell out the 2,000 even if we were in the bottom 4 after the first few games in my opinion. We've never played them away before and have only played them once in the JPT 2013 at the Ricoh, add to that its a terrace and a local game then it's got the making of a good away day.

We averaged over a 1,000 away from home last year despite almost going down. That would at least double if we were challenging at the other end of the league and allocations allowed it.

It's enjoyable, easy to get to via car anyway and traffic is usually good due to location and smaller ground.

Away end is terraced but very much a conference ground. Burton are as well know punching above their weight which is good for them.

Am so pleased about this change, I have seen the City play at all but 8 grounds in the FL, and thought I was going to miss this one, as got tickets for Twickenham on 5th for England v Ireland. Now I hope to enjoy the weekend even more.

Burton away tickets are now on sale to ST holders and members.

They are advertising terrace and seating, so I guess the 1600 have been allocated.

You'd hope the club would be on the phone to Burton tomorrow asking for the absolute maximum allocation.

I think 1600 is the maximum allocation. 1200 in the terrace and 400 in the seating area.

Got my tickets in the seating area

1600 will be it. Should be a sellout, unless being a Sunday impacts this?

Regardless, got my terrace ticket yesterday!!!

From Football ground guide:
Away fans are predominantly housed in the Coors East Stand Terrace at one end of the ground, where just over 1,400 fans can be accommodated. In addition 400 seats are also made available to visiting supporters in the Main Stand. As you would expect from a modern stadium, the view of the playing action (there are no supporting pillars) and facilities are good. The atmosphere is not bad too (although there is a bit of a monotonous drummer in the home end), as well as the grub available including the legendary Faggots & Mushy peas (£2.25). Other food on offer includes; Double Cheeseburgers (£4), Double Burgers (£3), Cheeseburgers (£2.50), Burgers (£2.25), Pukka Pies (£2.50) Hot Dogs (£2.25), Chip Butties in crusty bread (£2) and Chips (£1.75). There is also a bar for away fans in which you can sit inside, There are TV screens showing Sky Sports News and then live coverage of the match itself. The bar is open until 15 minutes after the second half has started.

From CCFCs Twitter feed:

We've been allocated 380 seats and 1251 terrace tickets for the game at Burton - which is an all-ticket fixture #pusb
