Unchanged team unless he thinks O’Hare has done enough to come in for Westbrooke

Rose went off with an injured groin, so will be at least one change - hard to leave O'Hare out?

Don't mind him sticking with the same team, injuries aside, think you can keep O'Hare on the bench, keep him hungry, but there does become a point where you simply have to reward his excellent 20min cameos with a start.

He's so effective from the bench (albeit he's not had a league start yet), I don think Westbroke has the same effective if he comes on after 70mins as Ohare does.

Would take a point if offered it as 5 from Oxford (a) Blackpool & Burton (a) is more than acceptable, 3 teams I'd expect to finish top half. A loss wouldn't be the end of the world as long as we beat Wimbledon on Tuesday.

O'Hare to start, away from home you need players who can drag you up the pitch. O'Hare does that with his energy and dribbling ability.

Predicting a loss here. Tough game, away from home, run has to end, couple of key injuries.

If Allen’s fit I’d be tempted to put him in for the old boy factor but otherwise may as well stick with a winning side.

It is a good away test.

Here's last season broken down.

The think with O'Hare is the impact off the bench.

Certain if everybody from Saturday team are fit it will be an unchanged team, be interesting though if Mason is fit will he come straight back. If Rose is out than obviously Hyam comes in

We have to lose one day.

Not on Saturday though. 2-1 City.

For me a very winnable game but it’s gonna be wdwdwdwdwdwd all season!

Marosi
Dabo
Mason (hopefully fit)
Hyam (assuming Rose out)
McFadzean
Walsh
Westbrooke
Shipley
Hiwula
Godden
Jobello

O’Hare, Allen and Kastaneer will be chomping at the bit all week and opportunity to change things for Tuesday and freshen things up

Be interesting who plays today in u23

2-1 win for me

Hoping mason is back i’m assuming Rose is out ? O’Hare surely has to start ?

3-1 win last season I would of said I’ll take a draw.

Same team again if all fit. We’re winning our home games and not losing away. We have a formula that is working, why mess with it.

I understand the calls for O’hare to start but Westbrooke gets through a lot of work which I wonder if O’hare could sustain for 90 mins. (Not saying he can’t but we don’t know). Stick to what is working until it doesn’t.

Anyone know what burtons situation is? Usually a strong side but seems like they’ve lost a few players. A draw will do here

I'd happily go unchanged, but if Mason is fit I'd bring him back in and Hyam to come in if Rose is out.

O'Hare is having a great impact off the bench so for the time being leave that as is. Having him, Allen and Kastaneer on the bench is an exciting thought.

Allen starting for the u23s today, be good to get minutes under his belt and hopefully see him off the bench on Saturday for 20 mins, may push for a start vs Wimbledon

  • Burton a bit of a mixed bag although have have arguably played more good sides than us. They have beaten Bristol at home, drawn with S'bury and thumped Oxford both away, then lost to Rotherham and Ipswich at home, narrowly, altho themselves beat the Gills away. They were due to play Sunderland at the weekend, but it was postponed. They have only scored 8 goals in 6 games
  • We are getting leaky so I would bring in Hyam for Rose
  • O'Hare has to play - pick any one one from Hirwula, Shipley and Westbrooke to make way. Hirwula bucked up his ideas last week, and Shipley is a left sided workhorse so probably Westbrooke.
  • Hopefully Mason will be back
I hope we avoid defeat, but a win would be nice.

I think hyam & McFadz will start which was probably Robins first choice until hyam was injured I think once McFadz & hyam get together that will be first choice pairing

Weird flex. Not sure what his age has to do with the clubs he’s played for?

Agree with the lineup changes assuming Mason is fit. Otherwise, McCallum, Watson or Williams needs to slot in. O’Hare deserves to start especially because we need to be more of threat going forward in a tough place to play. With that said, I think a draw would be a very good result.

Now O’Hare has same amount of goals as Westbrooke we don’t have to listen to that comparison now of “yeah but he’s scored twice” Zain is a decent enough player and done well O’Hare offers that bit more
