Yes, it was the right back and he ran past Saka

Not excusing him, but the fact he was playing down the left at the start was ridiculous….

Not sure there was a player from either side who deserved more than a 7, it was a dour game.

The defensive positions are wrong and if I was Kitching I would be frustrated if i didn't start next game given the current backline has shipped 8 goals in 4 games.

Kitching should start every game. He’s our toughest CB. Thought he played well at Sunderland but then loses his place
Collins - I’m done with him. He lets in powder puff shots, that are close to him, and doesn’t command his box. Dovin needs to be back on Sat.
MVE - Frustrating. The constant turning back. Not taking his man on. He has all the attributes. New Manager needs to get a tune out of him.
Torp - Why play him? Such a defensive game plan. He was never going to flourish. Give Andrews or Allen a run out.

Wasn’t Sakamoto at fault here? He was with the runner and then left him to go to the player with the ball. He pointed to da Silva to pick up the runner, but it was too late. Sakamoto should have stayed with the runner leaving da Silva to face up the player with the ball. That’s how I saw it.

It DeSilva that points at Tats to go to the man on the ball. Sakamoto doesn’t point at anyone.

Got back 20 minutes ago.

We were rubbish. Eccles poor, Saka poor, defence poor. M6 lane closures poor.

Sheaf was our best player. Van Ewijk ok too. Both maybe 6/7.

Others were 5 at best with Eccles being worse than that.

Not a huge Bassett fan (yet) but he did about as much as he could with very little to no support

Why can’t any of our midfield tackle, all they do is run alongside players and never put a foot in.

Eccles is too busy collecting yellow cards for moaning instead of clearing the ball and tackling
