Well, in 3 of our last 4 games we conceded writhin the first 20 minutes.

I missed the opening goals v Luton, Derby and just about made it for Sheffield’s opener at the weekend.

Starting so many games on the back foot is just not good enough.

But against Sunderland Luton and Sheffield united there's no denying the team didn't struggle to going despite going behind .

Tonight we started as though we didn't want to lose , and we struggled all game to really get going

Agreed and to be fair to Burnley, their defensive organisation is top notch which is why they are at the top of the table.

It is pretty dour football to watch, but they’ve got a way that clearly stifles most teams in this league. If they could score goals, they’d be romping this league.

Seems a reasonable response

Not that I need to engage with someone like you but if the action was a carefully considered decision made before Derby as suggested, we were literally in play off points form. You can’t argue with that, it’s numbers mate. (10 points from 6 games = 77 points).

17 out of 51 available (17 games) = one point a game, puts us on 46 points end of season

Huddersfield went down with 45 and Blues with 50 last season

your reasoning is nonsense, almost like saying we beat Luton then Middlesbrough - 6 points from 6 = 138 points, just pure stupidity

…and it gets even worse if you look at the tail end of last season (from the start of the bad run) to now, we haven’t picked up since Wolves in the cup

None of our keepers fill me with any confidence
None of our defenders fill me with any confidence
None of our midfielder fill me with any confidence
None of our strikers fill me with any confidence
Frank Lampard doesn't fill me with any confidence
Not sure where we go from here, everything is just shite

The question over how we will actually hit 50 points was itself questioned by some on here who have since started to have doubts. I look at the fixtures and think we might struggle to do it.

Lampard either turns this around or takes us down.

it will be unfortunate that in reality it will be Mark Robins who will have taken us down, or at least a long way there if you believe he disbanded the MR/AV marriage etc etc…

yet any coach who comes in will be in the firing line - just hope they have enough time and resource to turn it around

I was talking about recent form mate. It’s generally considered that form is circa the last 6 games.

The point I’m making is that I don’t see the rush to fire him before having someone else lined up. If he wanted Robins gone, that’s up to him and he has the right to make that call but I think it was naive to do it before having a plan in place, especially given that the results over the previous 6 games before Derby was play off form based on ppg.

Yes, as soon as we went a goal down it was over. The first half we did nothing to get the crowd on their backs, it was so passive. If Robins had set us up like that he'd have been pilloried.

Exactly.

Not only passive.. when we did get the ball we hit it aimlessly long.

It was woeful, we looked totally rudderless

Idiots on Twitter mocking the way Burnley play. Get a grip. Beat us comfortably and doing well. Honestly.

We were not quite at the races tonight yet for long stretches Burnley did not look like they could hurt us. Then DaSilva lost his man and nothing the CB's could do about that. The keeper should really have blocked it easily though.
The second was a fluke but came from a poor clearance on our part, so there is blame there. Could so easily have been 0-0 and we would all be saying it was a good point.
We just kept giving the ball away. Bassette is not ready for leading up front. This game needed some physicality and Simms should have started, and Rudoni should have started in place of Sakomoto who has lost all ability to take players on. Bidders would have avoided that first goal.
Yes team selection was all wrong this time. Just when I was thinking Carr was making a good fist of things.
Positive is we have just come through a very tough run of fixtures we won't see again all season so improvement is definately likely.
I do think Eccles needs a rest and goalkeepers are a toss of a coin.
You only have to look to Man City to see how football can change so quickly when one or two cogs are missing.

Yet another game of only turning up for 45 minutes .
Another display of poor passing from defenders , midfield with no nous , or ability to break through their ranks & a young lad running for everything & even the piss poor passes from team mates .
Utterly depressing nights work City !

But that can’t be true because it’s outrageous and disgusting that Robins was fired by the evil egotist DK who wanted Robins out even though he’s likely to get us promoted.

Whoever is at fault for us ignoring the loan market, overpaying on dross and thinking we don't need any experience is at fault

Binks
Kitching
Asante
Rudoni

4 players who are definitely ‘Robins’ signings, combined cost near £10 million and just do not look worth the money. He has a role in this too.

We haven’t got enough old heads, who can lead the team through different scenarios, that provide balance. Stick a prime Fadz and Doyle in with the current team and we climb the table, for example.

Experience is the big one. We looks rudderless and leaderless. Not signing an experienced cb and a cm was a crime.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see Lampard try and get rid of one of

Kitching, Binks or Lati and
JDS/ Bidwell

He will try and get a young athletic CB in on loan
he always seems to play with 1 enforcer and 1 athletic CB in the mould of Tomori

Let’s hope so. I actually feel quietly optimistic about Lampard at this point.

Collins, JDS, Lati, Torp are just not good enough. Poor buys.
Saka and Rudoni can bring some spark and positivity if we play them in their positions.
Much of the rest are average players some of which we overpaid for (Kitching, EMC, BTA).
A real task to clean this squad out and rebuild on a limited budget.
Frank might be taking on a real risk here seeing his career will be on the line potentially.

You mean he changed things too much? But I’m reliably informed he never changed anything.

You lot really need a meeting where you agree what nonsense you’re going to spout so you don’t end up contradicting each other.
