MVE and Rudoni just a parody at this point. MVE has cost us multiple goals.
Wright, came on in difficult circumstances but didn't impact the game.
EMC, wants to have 100 touches and 4 stepovers. Showboating
Thomas, just seen the sending off back. Nowhere near touched him.

Ref, 1 stonewall pen, another one that you see given.

Rudi wants to do everything himself but in the process ends up doing nothing.

Fuck all for anyone after that.

It was another brainless performance, all over the pitch. Again, I don't think anyone comes out of that with any credit.

Simms, Eccles and EMC 6/7, rest 4s and 5s. The lack of being arsed to track back, mark and generally defend is so disappointing. You think they’d be busting a gut to keep their place with the opening of the transfer window. Need a massive regroup over the next fortnight.

Doesn't excuse the defending but it feels like 5 or 6 stonewalls not given now. Does not fucking help!

MVE, Rudoni and Rushworth all terrible today

EMC tried hard without much luck.

Simms scored and denied a second for nothing.

Haji is a ghost, always like playing with 10 men with him.

What was Haji being told to do when he came on? He was stood in the hole with his back to goal? There was one moment where he played the ball backwards to set up a cross yet just ambled into the box. His lack of desire is infuriating.

Simms won a couple of headers and Wright was nowhere to be seen.

Cannot think of anyone that played well. The whole defence were abysmal, and mentally we don't look right.

Rushworth 5
Van Ewijk 4
Thomas 4
Kitching 5
DaSilva 4
Grimes 5
Eccles 6
Rudoni 4
Sakamoto 4
Simms 6
Mason-Clark 6

Didn't even notice the subs really.

MvE, JDS, Sakamoto, Rudoni were awful. Thomas let himself down badly as well there. The concern for me is that we just look so weak in every single battle. You need to be able to fight if you want to get results and we look so passive as soon as anyone is aggressive with us. The closest thing we get in return is a stupid red card and a head loss. Don't look up for it at all.

Really?

It was a really good game. Brum have a great home record and we played them off the park, apart from a few wobbly moments at the back.

I give all players 8/10 for their efforts.

About right. Maybe Thomas a 3 for getting sent off. I mean if you’re going to get a red at least throw a haymaker rather than a pat on the head.

Simms and Mason come out of today with some credit for me, everyone else was either poor or meh.

Worst game I’ve seen Rushworth have for us (everyone is allowed an off day) he just looked so shaky with the ball today and would never thought he’d get beat with such a poor shot as that third.

That's a strange thing to do tactically when chasing the game, you have to say. Sometimes you need to play on the percentages.

I agree, should have gone 4-2-4 really.

Though I actually thought he had a few nice touches in the hole and linked play better than Rudoni did.

Rushworth 5

Conceded 3, at least one was more than half-saveable, some silly passes around defence whilst being pressed. Been great - this not so great.

MVE 5

Out of position for first goal. Didn’t used to take throws from left - last few games he has and on a few occasions (last week with Brau cover error and now Tats left to cover) we’ve been hit on the right side. Generally sloppy.

Kitching 5

Lost his man and generally poor.

Thomas 4

Stupid thing to do in being sent off. Generally poor.

JDS 6

Best of a bad bunch but not great.

Eccles 7

Mark for goal but needs to hold the middle with Rudi off on mystery missions.

Rudoni 6

Better than of late but still poor.

Grimes 6

For some reason is less incisive of late. More like Sheaf - not a good thing.

EMC 6

Needs to keep onside and stop giving fouls away. Again. So many times we have to delay passes because we know he’s wandering around offside and we can’t release.

Tats 6

Needs to get into the box rather than keep cutting back. Too much back passing and faffing about.

Sims 7

Scored but little else.

Subs

Wright 5

Anonymous.

Andrews 4

Harsh on the lad but in truth everything he did was poor. Sorry lad.

Rushworth looked nervous from the start and was poor today.

A good barometer for the state of the team is how much AAATB goes on. There was way too much of it today, not enough pass and move.

I think I'm in the minority but think Rudoni was better today than he has been since he's come back.
