Bristol City have 3 games on in 2 weeks and were also on against Norwich on Saturday

They just have to fill the schedule

It’s just that League one gets no coverage so they know nothing about us !

I think the assumption that Sky hate us is seen very much through "Sky Blue eyes".

Yes, the coverage last friday was rather heavily weighted towards Reading... but the fact is they are/were pissing the league, probably expected to destroy us, and have been a much higher-profile team than us in recent history. What do we expect?

We expect all the media to be impartial and unbiased, just like the BBC.

what's that now - £400k TV money this season already, very handy in the current climate.

Yep, would be very annoying to keep being moved to Friday night if we were allowed in but as things are the extra money is a huge bonus.

I said it in another thread, but do people seriously care that much about presenters and commentary? I get that more of us are watching on TV nowadays, but does it really ruin the game for you that much? Don't think I've ever sat through an entire HT/postmatch panel but sounds like it's a massive deal for some people.

People used to say the BBC hates us too.

Sky do not 'hate us' and it's ridiculous to suggest so.

Thought the commentary was fine on the main channel, the midweek red button games not so much but its always a bit shit when its a single commentator with no-one to bounce off.

However the presenter is appalling, to the point its hard to see how she's in a job. You could put any Sky Sports presenter in her place and the coverage would improve. God knows how she's in the job. But as you say, just switch on for kick off and go and stick the kettle on at half time and you miss all that.

I watch most of my foreign football (in fact most of my football) via Bet365, which has absolutely no commentary the vast majority of the time. Far better experience.

I said it recently in another thread... this is too dangerous for the likes of Sky, who need to keep employing hysterical pundits and presenters to remind us that we're watching "the best league in the world"

To be honest, I've had CWR commentary on a lot of the time, and I've found myself waiting for Oggy to correct Clive when he's called out the wrong City player who has just headed wide from a corner etc etc. I'm just left feeling mildly amused (in between the match nerves) Looking forward to the game versus Blues which will probably be tight. As for the money, I would think the club must (so far) be better off (whilst in Brum) than if the games had been played with a crowd (but not televised) with the added bonus of not having the nightmare of policing the Blues 'home' game.

Watched a couple of games yesterday and the amount of shit and fake excitement going on. They were sounding like radio DJs where everything is groovy and amazing. Trying so hard to hype up their shit stats to make particular things sound good.

"This is a massive match because it is Man Utd against their fierce Rivals Arsenal and Ole's 100th game in charge"

If it wasn’t for diversity quotas Nigel Farage wouldn’t have a career, lockdown sceptics wouldn’t get any air time, and the QT audience wouldn’t look like the red meat section of a deli.

You should be careful what you wish for

I don't get all the misogyny towards the presenter, she is no worse than any of her male counterparts in what she knows about Cov. Blokes being worried about women pundits

I've seen posts from other fans who enjoyed our game v Reading, we've been on 3 times and there have been 14 goals.

Sort of related, but I was convinced at some point there was a conspiracy to get us relegated from the Premier League and was convinced that referees were plotting against us - might have been after an Arsenal game at HR where we battered them and they scored (i think from a dodgy pen, and we played with 10 for a period after Paul Williams was sent off for breathing on Dennis Bergkamp) Think it ended 2-2
Gordon Strachan went ballistic in his interview and hammered the ref......... and after I had got back in from a night out (was at Uni at the time) I thought it would be a good idea to ring the FA (no social media then! - directory enquiries-ed the number) and leave a VERY ranty message about the standard of refereeing! - would love to hear it back now!
Obviously wasn't a conspiracy theory - we ended up being a bit shite!

If it's a better experience then presumably Sky would be delighted to improve the product and save money at the same time. Clearly there's a certain breed of football fan now who gets very worked up one way or the other by the pre/post-match panel though, and keep reliably tuning in, so I guess that's why they keep doing it (Though I think they offered a commentary-free option on the red button for a while?)

Reading are live 5 times in November! practically every match they play. Wycombe miss out completely.

Something not quite right there. Surely they can schedule better than this.

It's not just about us, she is awful when she presents any of them.

She is literally only there to ask basic, generic questions.

On what possible grounds can you make the leap to calling that “misogyny”?
Nothing to do with her being a woman, it’s to do with her being dog shit at her job. If it was a bloke most would (and do) say the same thing.

Because it's a distinguishing characteristic that makes it very clear who you are talking about given it's not very common.

Just like if the presenter had bright ginger hair i'd probably say "the ginger haired presenter was dog shit".

Calling shit like this misogyny just detracts from actual real examples of prejudices and sexism (of which there are many), and slowly but surely reduces credibility. It's part of the problem
