But it's over now, why would the council go back again and dip their toe into
'Sisu infested waters '

Wasn't it ACL who employed Webber Shandwicks Services?

Problem is Nick Jaguar and Aston Martin for that matter were bringing something to the table. Namely jobs and unlike calling hedge funds bluffs chasing the development of jobs in the community is the councils job. If you really can't see the difference there's no helping you.

So there would be no jobs at a stadium?

Yet they dealt with council employees nothing to do with ACL...

Not the hundreds and thousands that JLR are creating and Aston Martin would have created ,no. And for the jobs created at the new stadium it's quite possibly a similar number are going to be lost at the Ricoh due to the loss of dates taken up by the club. So the net gain in jobs is going to be tiny by any stretch of the imagination.

The only bluff the can be called here is CCC's and only SISU can call it. We passed the point of calling SISU's bluff long ago. I'm surprised you missed it.

Well you clearly know more than me. Obviously there were CCC employees on ACL's board but as far as I'm aware the bills were paid by ACL so therefore they were employed by ACL not CCC as you claimed. But like I say, you clearly know more than me.

I called Bullshit straight away

There would be hundreds of jobs created, not to mention when it is being developed and built also. Then there would be the benefits to the infrastructure that could be tied into it.

There were also CCC employees not on the board dealing with Weber Shandwick.

I'm not saying there would be no benefit but hundreds of job's. No way. I bet the Ricoh doesn't employ hundreds and what SISU have proposed so far isn't going to offer anything like what the Ricoh is going to offer.

Plus the majority of the jobs that JLR are bringing are full time jobs as would have been the jobs created by Aston Martin. What percentage of the jobs at the Ricoh are zero hours contracts as they would be at any stadium SISU would build for us?

Yeah it wouldn't be full time, but there would still be at least 100 jobs, I'd bet there are more at the Ricoh. There would be a fair few full time too, obviously depends on what else was included.

SISU's stadium is like Bojo's Thames estuary airport, nothing but hot air
to garner support, and to use as a bargaining chip in negotiations about
the Ricoh. At least they haven't started this off this time, for once.

How come you are quick to mention weber shandwick but never mention the PR firm SISU hired.:thinking about:

Because people were trying to make out that the council shouldn't / wouldn't be doing things for PR?

There is no new ground as for this bluffing bill shit what a waste of time.
TF had 2 sites for the new ground and lost them both why?
Who hat he time to wait while Sisu hang around, the last stadium plans were only 3 weeks away be lucky to see them in my lifetime.

Everybody uses PR, you'd have to be an idiot not to understand that. How's Max Clifford doing these days by the way?

Really?

Or did you just make that up?

Let's be honest, since the story about WS came out you, Grendel, Torchy et al have been writing new verses to this:

I'm on here pretty frequently and I can honestly say I've not seen anyone claim CCC didn't use PR, just you guys bringing it up in every thread whether it's relevant or not, then claiming some invisible poster made you do it.

A few were saying that they shouldn't. They are those on here that are on a mission to have a go at CCC for everything. So who said that they wouldn't?

Yes, they did but it goes against your agenda of defending CCC.

And if that is true then it goes against your agenda of defending SISU and attacking CCC.

i think people have just pointed out when the conspiracy theories are getting a bit ridiculous.
Like that the council or Wasps were intentionally using a time capsule to attack the club.
Or using London Midland to attack the club.
If CCFC do well Wasps make money so I don't think they are using the CET to attack the club.
The Council do not attack the football team, the fans or the manager.
During the dispute they are using a public relations company so I am pretty sure they are conducting public relations in this matter. It is likely they use the CET for this platform it is the most read paper by the people of Coventry.
I am guessing but only guessing as nothing is disclosed on the SISU side that they use the Observer.
Wasps use PR to promote themselves as a new business in the area I dont think they attack anyone else.
CCFC can use PR to promote CCFC.
Pretty sure SISU if they want could use the CET to promote their angle in the dispute.

To answer OP, won't happen. I live on Browns Lane and the residents round here are a feisty bunch and some influential people and there's no way they'd like a football stadium up here with a load footy fans walking about. There's a few on here too that I'd set my dogs on aswell when I'm walking through the fields! The land is too valuable and there would be more chance of houses than a football stadium because of the cost up here and I know for a fact that house builders would pay more than Sisu for the land.

I live just off Browns lane and no way would they build around here. The area is too valuable and really too small especially if we become championship and PL team again?

I have never heard of stadiums or such like round here and it just seems to be more house upon more houses. Even the windmill golf club opposite on the A45 will be all houses soon we are being told.

Just stick it on the A45 towards Birmingham as there will be houses built along that stretch in the next 20 years at this rate.
