Just over 1 in 4 for Simms at the moment. Deserves a run IMO. If Godden is going to spit his dummy let him.

If we aren't going to bring another striker in we need one of our current ones to take off a bit and Simms is the more likely to do that. He should be starting every game where possible now.

Actually thought Godden was better than recently, won more in the air and his link up play is better than Simms who still looks like he’s being controlled by an invisible puppeteer. But his lack of pace and seemingly recent inability to get into positions and actually score are just deal breakers.

It was a 6 out of 10 performance all round and including our manager, why he didn’t replace Sheaf with Torp a mystery to me, think when he came on our midfield looked better all round, but we got a draw when it looked like we wouldn’t
Was going to have go at goalkeeper Collins thought he was poor tonight he’s having a bit of a wobble form wise but that save at the death was almost a worldly so I’ll keep stum.

The one positive tonight is we need better quality if we want to stay in the top 6 and be good enough to be successful especially up front two days to get them in so over to you Doug & Mark.

Collins 6 dreadful distribution but quality reaction save
MVE 6 quiet first half and a lot of bad touches by his standards. Did put some great crosses in.
Thomas 6 point down for the goal
Kitching 7
Bidwell 6.5 involved in saka goal and solid
Sheaf 6
Eccles 5 was all over the shop at times
Palmer 5.5 poor really but a few moments
COH 6 worked really hard but nothing came off
Godden 4 waste of time
Saka 8 MOTM just a great player.

Subs
Torp 6.5 some nice turns, passes astray but positive. Slightly off pace in some instances but it will all come.
Simms 7 put himself about, strikers finish for the goal. Things happen around him and impacts the game a lot more than godden
Wright 6 some nice touches but he should have been more positive and ran the full back
Lati 5 said it before, don't like him in midfield

I think getting on Goddens back is poor to be honest. we know he’s not pacy but some of our passing to him over the top and down the channels & not to his feet was rubbish.

Brilliant one in the first half. The one he put in for Simms in the second was also great. Defender did well to flick it away.

Collins was a 5 at best. One great save doesn’t make up for all his dithering and panicky hoofs into touch. Looked nervous every time they broke forward. Awful performance.

Agreed. Since he's come in the team he's maybe at fault for 1 goal against Swansea where he made a dodgy wall and he got absolutely hammered for it. Quality keeper. Very different from the start of the season with the professional dodgeball player in goal.

The main problem with Collins was having to deal with balls back to home that should often not have gone there, yet the mistakes are deemed his rather than Thomas or Kitching. Not a pop at those either as I like both, but the decisions and failings should be shared.

His kicking was a bit off tonight which is odd as it's usually decent, but tbh I'd argue quite a few of the outfields kicking was a bit off tonight too.

I judged him on tonight’s game, and he was like a different keeper tonight. I’ve been impressed with him this season, but tonight he was awful, except for that save.

id also like it if he caught a ball every now and again from a shot. His go to is to double hand punch seemingly every time.

But…. Up until tonight, I’d agree with you. Let’s hope it a one off.

We’ve bought him on potential , like most of our squad they aren’t going to perform every game but I’m way happier with him than Wilson

Decent pedigree from Chelsea ranks and 26 nowhere near his peak for a keeper. Getting used to the level and still lots of improvement in him. As much as I hope we go up this season, the summer will be enhancing rather than full surgery and I can only see us getting really strong next season.

Think Collins is getting off lightly. Great reaction save at the end boosting scores which I understand.

But his distribution was bloody awful. He may be calmer on the ball than Wilson but when you give yourself ten minutes to release it no wonder. Needs to move it quicker, looked very uncomfortable with their press tonight.

I admit he is the best keeper we have but his distribution and decision making tonight was the worst we have seen all season, no need to defend it, it is what it was. Fantastic save at the end and would still have him in goal but he looked shaky tonight for some reason.

MVE - brilliant player again but was slightly off compared to his usual high standards

just felt like a performance from one of the first 10 games of the year where we didn’t connect with each other as well as we know they can.

take the point when many were not as good as they can be

Collins 6 Would’ve been a 5 but for the great save at the end, kicking is awful

MVE 6 Very good going forward but poor defensively and in possession
Thomas 6 Worryingly relaxed on the ball at times
Kitching 7 Love it when he ventures forward
Bidwell 6 Struggled to get forward enough but fine defensively

Sheaf NA We would have thrashed them if he’d stayed on
Eccles 5 A very poor Sheaf imitation, he needs a rest
O’Hare 6 Everything came through him once Sheaf went off

Sakamoto 7 MOTM Well taken goal and reliably fun to watch
Godden 5 A passenger, good crosses from MVE were wasted on him
Palmer 6 Moments of quality but faded badly as usual

Latibeaudiere 5 Out of his depth at CM, his frustration with himself was obvious
Simms 6 Glad he got a goal but he refuses to play with fire
Wright 6 Never found room to worry their defence, his lack of defensive work left Bidwell badly isolated
Torp 6 Very promising intro, unusual frame for a CM but scans well and can turn out of danger
