Phillips scores from a corner

Corner taken short to Haynes who puts in a great cross and meets Phillips in space who puts it away well

Does Mclean look good enough for league 1?

Some big hints here.

Lee burge is clubs number 1 and first choice.

We seriously lack any sort of depth in the squad.

Will Barton ever go?

The biggest hint for that one was when he was given a three year contract with a clause built into it that if he didn't get 15 games in the first season he was free to go at the end of it

Hope he is as good as those who have seem him play feel he is.

Chance for Haynes after Swanson does play it wide this time (called that one right ), but Haynes shoots over the bar

He's looked comfortable between the two young lads. Don't think he'd budge Webster Johnson or Clarke / Willis out of the first team but I'd say if we could get him as a back up he'd be worth a years deal. Probably be more reliable than Seabourne

He's got forward well. Loving playing against their number 2 and keeps trying step overs, although their 2 is only good for speed (as in pace, I'm not suggesting he deals drugs ) and the cross for the second goal was very good indeedb

When did we give Seabourne a contract?
How has he become not good enough since then?

I think seabourne is up to it just hasn't been given enough of a chance like Clarke and webster got last season

When did with?

I'm not saying he's not good enough, I just don't particularly rate him much. So I guess I am saying he's not good enough. But only in my opinion. Maybe not others

I see you've edited you post now Dong. I was struggling to figure out what it meant but now it makes sense.

I know he's only been here a short while, but he doesn't fill me with much confidence.

And if you seen his long hair and beard now, I think you'll agree he looks more like a homeless person than a footballer

Seaborne is decent enough. And if we are playing with 3 centre backs then we will need 5 cb's in the squad

I know that Barton is surplus to requirements but i'm wondering if we are gonna be playing 3in midfield, will he be kept on as a squad player. He may be more effective with two mobile players alongside him. Seems to have done ok in the games he's featured in so far.

Judging from the pre season games looks like Swanson is going to be a good player for us

I'd agree with that. Looked decent again tonight and covering the defence well by tracking back

Maybe, looks like both O'Brien and Swanson are going to play centrally for us though.

so 3 out of Thomas, Fleck, Daniels, O'Brien, Swanson. I don't see where Barton will fit in, especially if we sign another central midfielder as Pressley wants to.

Makes you wonder, what with him seemingly being back in or around the squad, although I think he is just making up numbers and he's being put in the shop window in an attempt to show teams he can do it, just not for us long term.

So do people think we will start the season with 3-5-2?

Sorry mate predictive text.

I just think SP signed him so would be surprised if he did not trust him

No it's to make sure we are more flexible so when we need to change the squad know how to play both ways !!! #PUSB !!!

No worries!

He did, but he also signed others who have gone out of favour pretty early into their CCFC careers.

He's not the worst CB we've ever signed, I mean he's no Reece Brown, but he doesn't fill me with confidence. Probably do us as a bit part player though

He has ability, but sometimes wants too much time on the ball and doesn't have pace to recover the ball when he loses it.

I like him, just don't think he fits in the Pressley style of play.that said, he did well tonight when expected to step up In what was an otherwise young team

It's just he seems to be putting a lot of time into the system if it is intended to be a backup/plan B.
