Purely from a selfish point of view, I'd like to see Bristol City beat West Ham in extra time. The shear amount of minutes that squad will have to play before they meet us on the 30th, would surely have some affect on fitness.

One of the dodgy fixtures Bristol can grab results when perhaps not expected.

Doesn't only a replay go to ET & it will go to a replay after 90 minutes (unless rules are different for every round) ?

Bristol are playing West Ham in their 3rd round replay on Tuesday, if they win they'll have to play Forest or Blackpool during the 4th round weekend, a few days before they play us.

Oh sorry, I thought they were playing each other in 4th round. My excuse is that I am still tired as I only got back home from the game this morning at 5am thanks to trying and trusting public transport

Bristol City are about as championship as it gets. Mid table, no consistency, 0 goal difference and Matty James centre mid.

Small things but not having Wasps at the CBS means no more shitty rugby markings on our pitch like Bristol have. Hated that

Dangerous opposition we should dominate them but should they score first have the defence to park the bus and in as we know Matty James is a good experienced player.

I’m watching that similar incident to the Thomas penalty England doing okay then a moment of madness, sending off correct decision.

Watching this match makes me realise how far we have come . WHU are no great shakes
If we get into the Prem next season which I believe we will we can emulate the likes of Brentford Bournemouth ( should be in League 2) and Brighton .They are no bigger clubs that Coventry City FC

Some of the Bristol players are real thugs / have tempers, Williams and Gardner-Hickman in particular (the latter should be off the pitch) - think we can wind them up at our place.

Watching football on the telly appears nowadays to mostly involve me vehemently disagreeing with everything Jobi Macanuff says.
At the weekend it was him talking about Bobby Thomas being lucky to be on the pitch. Today it’s about alleged punches and semi-reckless challenges that should’ve seen a red card/deservedly got a red card.
I understand the rules have changed and I hate the attitude of ‘it’s a man’s game’ etc etc but ffs come on! I genuinely thought there was hardly anything in this game that was particularly bad.

And I thought I am the most confident on here.

You weren't watching West Ham. It was some of their reserves. Their first team would most probably outplay us presently.

To me an established Prem club is bigger than ours. They have the financial backup.

And back to reality.

If we manage to go up this season we will have some players that could shine. That's it. Some. We wouldn't be alone though. Heavy defeats. Hanging around the bottom of the table hoping to get out of the bottom 3 even if just for a week. The biggest noise you make because of what's happened on the pitch is to applaud another world class goal against your side. The hope of when you play another side near the bottom because you might get a point.

And if you get through your first season you have a chance of cementing your place in the Prem mainly at the expense of the teams coming up each year. 17th place will suffice.

At least we would be going up with a chance of staying up. But to have a realistic chance of staying up another year in the Championship would be better.

Agree - but you don't always get to 'choose' when - and you never know what's round the corner - an unlucky run of injuries, etc that can derail you. Agree, though, If nothing untoward happens, next season we should be stronger (though you could make a case for M' Boro and Hull being the same)

We have Mark Robins and Adi Viveash. We'd give it a right good go at staying up, and can only imagine us continuing to progress if we did. Would be so much more excited to go up now than last year, as we have a far better foundation to build off
