We’ve had chances but I wouldn’t call them easy clear cut chances fitness levels at this level is what we are now seeing we can be proud of how we’ve done,we will get better as the weeks go on.

Shipley is not a holding player since Hamer went off we’ve not been the same.

In my view, he looks a bit all over the place slightly deeper than the ACM role he flourished in last season. Needs a bit more coaching positionally and defensively - that’s not an unfair observation.

Hamer comes across as a bit of leader too, and we’ve definitely lost that since both Kelly and Hamer coming off.

Looking ragged now. Shame we had to use subs on Kelly and Hamer. Would have been nice to be able to bring fresh legs on for the last 10 minutes.

Also without Hilssner and JJ i would be looking for a number 10

well, first defeat in 2020 and i have to say its the least gutted i have ever been to lose on first day of the season.

We played some cracking stuff at times and has given me real heart that we can give it a good go this season

Shipley was quality first half but like all the midfielders and wingbacks has been poor this half. Kelly's injury and Hamers likely second yellow has meant we've wasted subs early, when we really needed fresh legs in the last 15.

He has already stated he wants a couple more, but it will be down to budget.

I think we will have to off load a couple first. Its a shame Kasteneer didn't impress when away on trial.

Shame to lose to a soft goal, but overall very pleased with the performance. We were by far the better side in the first half. Shows that we can hold our own at this level.
