Impressed with Wolf today. Really going to need him to see us over the line. Steady enough to do a job and seems to come back with the right attitude.

Nice of their keeper to dive straight over Tats header.

are people giving Lats a 5 because of the red??

before that he was looking solid again, and he’s not conceded a goal for a while

Yes, could have cost us the game. And it came from his own mistake.

No it's not violent conduct, I think it's only 1 game.

Rushworth 9. Fantastic as usual.
van Ewijk 7. Solid defensively and a couple of good runs to setup Simms and Dasilva.
Woolfenden 7. Looks so much better in a back 5. Still not convinced in a back 4.
Latibeaudiere 5. Played well up until he got sent off. Poor touch under little pressure could have cost us the game. Been brilliant since he came back into the team.
Dasilva 8. Great run and cross to setup the 1st goal. Defended well for the most part as they looked dangerous down his side. Extra point for the assist.
Torp 7. Kept his shape and got stuck in with some good tackles and blocks. Couple of nice passes too.
Grimes 8. Typical Grimes performance. Nothing spectacular but very solid. Well done for getting in the referee's face to make sure their guy got the 2nd yellow.
Sakamoto 8. Was the one player who offered us something when we were under pressure early on. Extra point for the goal which was well taken.
Eccles 7. Solid. Not much more to say. Nice run and pass to setup Wright just before the 2nd goal where Wright should have scored.
Mason-Clark 6. They doubled up on him so wasn't effective. He was the right player to bring off after the red card.
Wright 7. Battled well at times and held the ball up a few times, took his goal well, should have scored the other chance.

Subs:
Kitching 7. Seemed to win everything in the air.
Bidwell 7. Battled for everything and positionally was exceptional.
Simms 6. A good cameo. A couple of good runs and forced their keeper into a couple of good saves.
Onyeka 6. Solid. Don't think he did anything sloppy or amazing and wasn't on for long.
Thomas-Asante 6. Wasn't on long but had a long range shot which Simms nearly scored from the rebound.

Hard to give Lati only 5 for just one (admittedly big) mistake. He was having a great game up until that point.

Obviously. 5 is extremely generous for a first half red card!

Yes for me. Thought he was very good again. Think 5 is fair though as it could have been pivotal. His touch was poor and then his reaction was clumsy.
Shame for Latibeudiere though as he was keeping the shirt on form. Now he will have wait for another opportunity.

Don’t think it was clumsy. Once he’d lost the ball he made the decision to take the red to stop a one on one.

Rushworth 8
Van Ewijk 7
Woolfenden 7
Latibeudiere N/A
DaSilva 7
Grimes 8
Torp 6
Eccles 8 MOTM
Sakamoto 7
Wright 7
Mason-Clark 7

I thought Eccles was excellent through out, set up Haji with a couple of chances which he should have done better with, stuck his head in when he knew he would get hurt to force the ref into sending off their lad, which swung the odds back in our favour. I think that new role for him behind Haji is great, he gets round the pitch well, buys fouls when we need it, presses high up the pitch and he's an extra defensive line when needed.

what. he got himself sent off in the first half and it was entirely his fuck up. so we played over half a game with 10 men - 5 is about right if not generous

Yeah squad stepped up. Same again on Wednesday

Thomas seems to have had a niggling calf injury for a while
