Wilson made some saves.
Bta put a shift in
Simms tormented them

Kitching was good tonight , when he plays well he is composed and his passing through the lines is very good.
Thought he led well tonight as well especially first half when we weren't on it he was cajoling others around him

Wilson MotM, kept us in it.
The subs looked a level above the rest, bar Allen.
BTA the pick of the outfield starters. Everyone else a bit meh.

Wilson MOTM. Those that came in looking to impress after not starting on Saturday showed why they didn't start.

Much better than Saturday, but still a way to go.
Wilson played well
BTA looks a handful
Kitching and Dasilva did well

For some reason we look far better in the second half, (even before the subs)

Wilson did a steady job. Nothing spectacular and all the saves you would expect a championship level keeper to make.

I’ll give a special mention for Jay Dasilva. Bar one poor cross he was solid and very tidy on the ball

Is there anyone out there that still thinks Collins is better than Wilson? Superb game.

We really need a new centre back and midfielder, maybe a couple of loans if we don't buy, but on the 2 showings so far we have looked below standard in the midfield and Thomas is scaring the fuck out of me and probably the team

Solid 6 and 7’s. Stand outs were Eccles, Kitching, Wilson and JTA just for pure work rate. All the subs did well. But surely Robins must know now that with Thomas & Lati in the same back four we can’t pass out from the back.

Don't want to see Lati at RB again , he was a lot better at CB bar one brain fart moment

Feel sorry for Tavares… his position is not out on the right wing. But he needs to move on for the sake of his career now.

He obviously has ability but he is one of the most awkward looking players I've ever watched

The guy is a CF. He’s not getting any game time there any time soon though and he’s no right winger.

Great ball from Palmer, basically told Simms where to run and that was essentially the difference tonight. Good finish from Simms too.

I maintain Palmer is the best passer of the ball in attacking areas that we have. Weight of pass is almost always perfect

His mobility around the park causes us problems out of possession though

I think he’d work well centrally with someone else up there with him but he’s not a 9 and we currently play with one 9. Even Simms struggles physically up there on his own at times and looks a bit lost, I don’t think I’d want to see Tavares being the one to try and hold it up / win headers etc.

When it’s the right pass - maybe. But he only makes the right choice of pass 50% of the time. It’s why he’s so frustrating.

I’m not sure he’s anything to be totally honest. Would honestly be surprised if he’s still a professional in a few years. Above anything from a technical point of view he’s so unbelievably slight and lightweight for a footballer

Midweek journey back decent for once, despite weather! 10

And whoever said Wilson saves were expected, most were but one down to his right in first half very good and to get up quickly for that double save where he got winded was decent. Commanded not and distrubuted quicker than normal too. Definitely looks to have cemented back up and if he's happy to fill that spot then I'd like to see Collins moved on. Motm for sure tonight.

He genuinely looked like newborn giraffe at one point in the first half. Think he was attempting to challenge for the ball but seemed to fling his legs in opposite directions.

Told Simms where to run??

Watch it again and you’ll be able to see Simms calling for the ball to be played.

Not discrediting Simms… I just mean it would’ve been so easy to play that pass into feet (by which time the defender closes down).
