They have a clever loop hole of getting around FFP. They're owner, Steve Lansdown (billionaire fan) also owns Bristol Sport, the company that makes the shirts. So he can can just pump money into the club via that and it doesn't break any FFP rules.

FFP rules are difference in the championship, you can lose £15m per annum.

We were linked with him before he signed for Brentford from Luton fuckn joke if our club showed a bit of investment we could have had the likes of mcgoldrick and gray up front and Wilson and sold them on and bought the ricoh and reinvested in strengthening the squad

We spent money this summer, did we not? You are seriously deluded if you think Wilson wanted to stay after the Bournemouth offer came in.

Tough he was contracted to us and being a cov lad surely would have given us another season and we could have got twice the money we received for him plus could have possibly made the playoffs last season with his goals

When you say "a bit of investment" what you actually mean is someone donated the club a few million.

Why didn't we do those things pre sisu when Mr Coventry and co were on the board?

Exactly why not if we did no doubt we wouldn't be in league 1 now

Not a hope in hell we'd have made the play offs last season and in all probability his value would have depreciated - as it is now from the offers that were rejected by Bournmouth in the summer.

We would have pissed this league last year with gray Wilson and mcgoldrick as our 3 strikers

Gray? If we had kept Robbie Keane and Dion Dublin we would never have been relegated.

Sisu really are evil scum.

9m is ridiculous but again Fulham paid over that last season, sadly this money has already leaked into the championship. Teams are desperate to get up this season so this will be the start of these types of bids

I only see £9m as a 'sensible' move if a) you've already got a decent chance of promotion to the PL (I think Burnley have) and/or the re-sale value is likely to hold up (good young striker - probably). Still think CW will move for a big figure (over £10M within 12 months)

If callum moved preseason he would be warming the bench of a bigger side now. With a successful PL season he and we could get much more

Nothing is guaranteed in this league, you could nAme a good few teams in this league that would be a better bet than Bristol. It's shit or bust for a few teams trying to get to the promised land
