In all seriousness, has to be 3 points for us given the opportunity. Thats not to shit on Bristol who aren’t a bad side, just the circumstance of the timing means it’s a great time to play them and we have to take the opportunity.

I feel uneasy about this game especially if Onyeka does have a knock.

If you feel uneasy about this you will be a nervous wreck by the end of the season

Be a tricky game.

A few differences now.

No injured list. No virus just gone through our squad. They didn't just play an extra 120 minutes in mud midweek and we also have a stronger squad.

I never take any game for granted, but this certainly will be one of our easiest away games left when you consider the circumstances.

Mate I’ve spent most of the last 3 months quivering in a corner. If I see it through to the start of May without being admitted ED I’ll take that as a huge win.

I was there. A weird last 20 minutes of "After you Claude". We were anxious because we had been 2-0 up. I remember many steady looping crosses from Mick Coop, caught by their goalie, who booted it up field - and then repeat.

First goal will be crucial

Bristol City’s players and their manager will have points to prove after last night. That could be dangerous for us. If we score early the crowd could turn on them again ….

The aim has to be a win. Demotivated opposition, languishing in a disappointing mid-table position. No injuries.

Grind out a win in a boring low-quality game

If he does i would be tempted to play Eccles not Torp. As Eccles offers us more of what FTT does alongside Grimes

Three points however it comes. Results are all that matters at this stage. We’re in red hot form, they’re 15th in the home league table. Solid professional job is all that’s needed. Hope the inbreds do us a favour but you can’t count on them, or at least only to six.

Why do people keep talking about Onyeka having a knock whne both Rudi and Grimes have said he is okay?

Confident of a win here, Bristol lose just as many as they win and their home form is weak. We’ve had the better of them at home over the last few years but haven’t had the greatest of times travelling to
Ashton Gate.

Only because he was clutching his shoulder in the first half and then came off holding his glute just after halftime.

not Sure Grines would say “yeah he’s ficked” if asked post gsme. He said he thought he was ok ‘hopefully’ from what I read.

The fact that Atkinson and Dickie (also McNulty) are out, means the centre of their defence is devastated. Couldn't ask to play them at a better time really.

Good that Dickie is out in particular. He always seems to have a good game against us.

I think it was 2 or 3 years ago we went there and absolutely battered them for 45 mins...

Conceded from a set piece in first half added time and lost 1-0. Not too dissimilar from what Stoke threatened to do on Saturday.

Why so pedantic? They nearly pissed on our parade and had Rudoni not scored a winner, we’d only be 3 points ahead and cue more panic.

Yesterday's game went perfectly for us. ET and they lost so have to play us a few days later.

But let's not get complacent. They may well be more tired than us and we are overall a better team, but if we don't put in a professional performance they could bite us on the arse.

I'd be quite happy for us to keep possession and make them chase the ball first half and then up the tempo second.

Would love to see us go down there and open them up like we did to Stoke in the first half, but I think Lampard has learnt his lesson away from home. I can see it being another West Brom type performance/result, sit deep & frustrate and take our chances when they come & hopefully have it wrapped by the hour mark so we can make changes for Wednesday.

It would not surprise me for Bristol to raise their game significantly on Saturday to appease the boo boys from last night. Just our luck
