Other way round for me. Palmer has vision and is a fantastic option with 30 minutes to go with the pace of the front 3 ahead of him. When Sheaf returns, Eccles or Torp drop to the bench as additional cover for the midfield. He's far from perfect but we'd miss him if he went
Probably right Tom particularly if Palmer doesn't want to agree a new contract. I just think Palmer's skill set and vision could suit this team very nicely against tired defences in the last 30 minutes - particularly with the express pace of our likely front 3 ahead of him in the final 30 - EMC/BTA/Wright.If Allen stays and we sign a couple more I'm not convinced he makes the matchday squad tbh. But then one of them would not even make match day squadsI realise that.....
Personally think it's counter productive to let either Allen or Palmer go, even if we bring in another CM. We still need that depth and both have skills to offer, even if they aren't first choice.
