I thought I'd start a thread where we could all post some great Coventry City images we've found on the internet, I've started with this one here:

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/04/08/article-2305690-003BF3B100000258-119_634x492.jpg

(Sorry I couldn't attach the image on here I'm on my phone at the minute)

Hard to imagine what that must have been like. There's not even room for the lino to run up and down. Amazing to think that the fans must have stayed off the pitch (apart from goal celebrations presumably). Must have been amazing.

Only in 'modern times'? What is more iconic in our entire history than that?!

A lot of the things that happened in and around the Jimmy Hill era were pretty iconic. Qualifying for Europe and beating Bayern Munich at home (lest we forget the 1st leg), 50k+ in the Wolves match above, Ernie Machin/Willie Carr donkey kick. All iconic in their own way.

I guess depending on your age, 'modern times' is different for all of us.

Images of a novelty goal or Beckenbaur playing at HR do not match Houchen's diving header which helped deliver us our only major trophy, in the iconic stakes. Modern times doesn't come into it. In our history that is the most iconic image of our club. IMO of course.

Call me pedantic, but who is Ryson. I remember Dyson, he used to sweep things up at the back.

This one used to be a favourite of mine. A sign of the potential of the club. Now its bloody depressing.

What became of that lad on the right? Just another loan signing that disappeared into the ether no doubt, eh?
