Sounded like a good goal too, hopefully it'll give Gary a bit of confidence, were going to need him if we're going to get out of this.. I'm feeling a glimmer of hope

I've made no secret of the fact I don't rate Christie on here, much to some peoples amazement, and he is having an absolute shocker today, getting done every single time by their left winger.

Only a matter of time before it costs us a goal or he'll get sent off.

Deegan also is lucky to still be on the pitch!

There left winger is quality though. Classic mcsheffrey goal of old. Is he back? We actually look dangerous going forward too.

Agree with you PVA, useless on the ball and shaky defensively

Get Deegan off now AT and get Gael on before he get's sent off, plus match fitness may now start to take effect and a missed time tackle could make a big differance to the turnaround of our fortunes.

great performance

motm-pick between keough,deegan,juke and mcsheff

although its important to remember brighton were the better team in the first half even though we were one up,bell is still a passenger and can still see us going on a losing run again

but right now the fightback is still on

point at upton park please!

decent performance with a bit of grit and steel which has been missing this season. Some good composure and generally good passing.

Never been a fan of McSheffery but that was the best I have seen from him in ages and gets my MOM.

Hope we keep hold Keogh - the most consistent and best performer this season although Juke runs him close because of his effort and strength. Conor Thomas will be a top player and is bot outclassed in this division even at 18 (think we sometimes forget his age)

back to back wins - thats what i call a xmas prezzie - but it is only a start and gives us a little more hope. Long way to go and we are still in the thick n smelly

Key thing here was a good number of decent performances. I agree with the best performers listed above. Wood, Murphy & Cranie gave a decent acount of themselves too, Bell & Baker less so. Cyrus looked OK going forward, but was pressured by a very good winger.

Thomas was very good too, he doesn't lose the ball & gets a simple but decent pass in, unlike Clingan, who has a tendency to play to ambitiously too often & give it away or swirtch off & get robbed, though he is better at chasing back & has a fierce free kick.

Thomas outclassed?!? I've been harsh on the kid before, but I thought he absolutely ran the show today. He's improved so much of late, and confidence has given him the composure to show just how talented he is. His technique is superb, and his energy levels fantastic. I wonder if Liverpool are still keeping an eye on him?
