Given his age at the end of this season if they offered him another contract would they be due a fee if he moved then ?

Yes if the offer is more than he is currently on.

I guess he meant if he is sold this summer, he was a free agent otherwise. Think it's more likely they see something in him and want to take a look at him again through pre-season.

He's played in their first team at Championship level, i think they know there is some great technical skill there, probably want to look to see if he's matured much

Looks like he's off to China for Wolves pre-season tour then in the squad tor their early Europa League games
Still think we could see him on loan before the L1 window shuts on 2nd September
Opportunity knocks for Wolves starlets

Hopefully he doesn't play very well, or he could be in the Wolves squad for the start of the season.

Is he injured? Seems bizarre that he was definitely going to China and now he's not?

Probably just had a transfer fee accepted from an unnamed league 1 club that don’t play in their own city, have just bought out a great Hummel kit, beat Sunderland 4-5 last year and are known as Coventry city football club.

According to Wolves fans he's had visa issues in the past. Really hope that's not the reason he's not in the squad as that's unbelievably anticlimactic. They seem to be pretty confident on Twitter that this is why he's been left out.

Random Wolves fans are saying he has Visa issues for getting into China.

Robins out.

No point sticking him in he europa league squad then. May as well sell him. Value gone down because of that too, we need a player who we can take on our European tour. £50k.

I really can't work this one out
Bright has been dropping hints to his Cov team mates on their private social media groups that he might be back and we know Robins would like to accommodate him
But if the lad has signed another year at Wolves on the same wages he claims to be on it's impossible for any L1 team to afford them
If he hasn't been offered another year by Wolves then it's a possibility but then we wouldn't have to pay a fee
But if he has agreed another year with them surely it could only be a loan with us paying part of his wages?

His contract was automatically renewed by the club. Not heard he signed a new one

I heard yesterday from a friend who works at the club that he is on his way back for the year, the ideal scenario being we get promoted and buy him at the end of his deal. If not, he will be sold to a championship club.

I still read it as they've activated an extra year on similar terms but offered him an extended contract on the wage we've heard about but that hasn't been agreed.

Surely it would be a free transfer?

All I've heard, just like Better Days, is that the desire is there from Bright but we're waiting on Wolves doing something with whatever offer we have on the table for him.

Probably another case of wait until pre-season tours/Europe are concluded before anything happens.

What would the visa issues even be? Is it due to the country he's from or does he have a criminal past we're unaware of?

i imagine the thinking will be Wolves offer him a contract meaning they are entitled to a sum.

It sounds as though they haven't rejected our offer which is promising. Add to that him not going on their pre season tour and it looks good.

I still have a feeling we're not going to get him because he's too good for the league but I also thought it would have been resolved by now.

But the contract they offer would have to be on better terms than he's on already in which case he might just sign it. Even if Bright rejected it are they going to get much more at tribunal than we are offering now.

I think it all comes down to this pre season tour which he now isn’t on,they wanted to take a look at him before deciding what to do I still think we will sign him permanently before start of season.

Seems slightly odd that Guo Guangchang, who owns Wolves, mixes with some of the most powerful people within China, is the 34th richest man in the country, and is a representative of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference whatever that is but it sounds significant, and yet he cannot get one of his own employees a simple visa.

Can’t see it being that tbh this has come from fans not the club maybe their decision is already made on him.
