Has he signed a extention to his wolves contact? Yes or no ?
Is he a free agent come 1st of July ? Yes or no ?
If he's signed with wolves best hope is another loan.
If he's free we have a chance as long as we can make the signing on fee big enough, I'm sure he would be the top earner whatever.

He’s had his 1 year extension triggered. Remains a Wolves player but as it stands he’s without a club next summer. Could loan him for the season. Alternatively, could buy him for a (relatively) small fee this summer with the fact he’s got 1 year remaining in mind. However, there is talk that Wolves want to extend his contract beyond next summer, at which point it’s difficult to see anything other than a loan this season.

1. Yes
2. No
3. Possibly - depends on why they triggered the extension. Was it just so they could get a fee for him?
4. He's not on a free

Bargain. If he played like he did last season for a year or two he'd be worth millions. Wolves are looking at establishing themselves in Europe so he's nowhere near the quality they need so it's just about maximising value for them.

I’d imagine Willis is being offered at least double that by championship clubs?

Is he ready for the Championship though? Was great for us but still very erratic, played too many tricks in our half and lost the ball in dangerous situations, would have a lot less time on the ball in the next level. Also by all accounts was terrible in Scotland. It's a big risk if Blues are looking at him as a starter.

I don't think he is. He fails to look up on a regular basis, attempts to go past 5 players at once and doesn't release at the appropriate times. That will be highlighted in the Championship against better defenders. Hence why i think he'll struggle initially if he's played as a starter.

You’re talking about him as if he’s a year year old kid! He’s already played in the Championship. He was by far our most productive player 2nd half of last season. Obviously I want to come back here, but it wouldn’t be a shock if he goes to a Championship team, and I certainly think he’d do a job there.

I'm not denying his quality in League One. But just because he excelled at League One doesn't mean he'll perform at the same levels in the Championship. There are countless previous examples to support that argument. You forget that Bright is still pretty inexperienced - something I believe was highlighted last season but he got away with it by large due to his quality. Against better defenders and better midfielders, attempting to skip past 4/5 players at a time won't work and he'll lose the ball, probably regularly. The same goes for his annoying habit of failing to release the ball at the appropriate times and not looking up regularly enough. Skill on the ball doesn't necessarily equate to overall quality though - there are still a number of habits in his game that need to be ironed out if he's to excel at a higher division.

Getting to the Championship isn’t excelling, it’s improving. And there’s a lot of examples of players stepping up as well. Players not as good as Bright. I’m not going to make predictions like that though.
Obviously I’d still prefer him here.

Think we'll have agree to disagree then! Not sure why you don't feel like you can't make a prediction. I've made mine based on my opinions, hardly the end of the world if you're wrong? Odd that on a forum people feel conscious of being criticised for offering an educated opinion.

Agree with this. His decision making in key moments was often terrible last year but he was so naturally talented that he made enough opportunities to positively influence the game. He also had no defensive responsibilities and had very much a free role. Was brilliant for us and I guess the decision comes down to: Will he get those luxuries, freedoms and pitch time in the Champ and would that inhibit his development or would the experience at the higher level counter that ? Or would a full season in L1 polishing out those flaws where he’s first name on the team sheet with a team built around him to bring out the best in him do better for his longer term development?

Bright Enobakhare could be in for Wolves chance in Europe
Hopefully MR has backup plans for the number 10 role unless he's gonna give bayliss a go

Not going to lie, I think it made 0 difference. He had already mentioned how shit the Ricoh pitch was. Pretty sure the lure of European football or Championship football is far bigger than a 1/3 full stadium with a god awful pitch.

It's Wolves call
They are paying his wages which are huge, more than the vast majority of Championship clubs can afford
Bright liked it ay Cov but what Wolves are doing makes sense as they are in the early rounds of the Europa League when all big clubs give their young players a chance to show what they can do

How would that be maximising value for wolves when he’s a free agent at the end of next season ?

Yes it can we have been stashing the cash away and Joy is confident with Wilson sure to leave we will be able to self fund the move. All the players we are buying we will sell for a profit at the right price. She is speculating to accumulate.

Can’t blame Bright for giving the Wolves first team a whirl if that’s what’s happening, maybe look at things again in January

May even be by end of first loan window if they get knocked out early doors and he's overlooked

I don't know. I think he's just saying what you're meant to say in that situation with an interviewer. Probably knows deep down he's not getting in that Wolves squad

I don’t see why if he’s only been offered a one year contract he’d be loaned out anyway - what is his contract - is it longer?

It’s business even at money-bags premiership clubs, using their right to extend his contract gives Bright value. What he needs to decide is a one year extension at Wolves better than a 3/4 year deal here or anywhere else no guarantee of an extension at end of season.

What’s the point in extending value when he’s a free agent next season

If he became a free agent he’d probably get a higher signing on fee.
