It was the best Wembley final and had the result been 3-2 to Spurs we would never of heard the last of it from Fleet Street. It was end to end for 120 minutes and could have been more goals. Had the best goal scored in a cup final too, forget Ricky Villas dribble v Man.City should have been defended better. The build up started by Houchen, the wing play and perfect centre by Bennet and what better goal can there be than a diving header by the player who started the move.

Did anybody spot a big difference from then to now yes a cross into the box and more than one player in there waiting for it somebody should send this to Pressley.

The way we have been playing this year you would think the area is full of crocodiles and they are scared to go in there.

Yes I did and if I had my way it would be shown at the start of each home game on the big screen, just a reminder to those running our club, how it is done.

Too right - and that footage of Noel Whelan belting them in from everywhere. I'd forgotten what a fantastic player he was until he kicked that shop window in.

Whelan,Dublin,Huckerby,Boateng all fantastic players and now we have to get excited by players like Shaun Miller Connor Thomas, I don't think most of this current side would have even got into the reserves in the mid 90's.

You don't think?! None of them would have got close to our reserve side. Don't forget we are now towards the bottom of Division 3.

I was flicking through a programme a couple of weeks back (97/98 season). Our reserve side that week included Hedman, Borrows, Moldovan, Williams and Soltvedt.

I was feeling generous towards the current lot, we used to release better players then than the ones in the first team now.

Absolutely - I can feel the anger rising in me again when I think of utter crooks thieves and idiots that have reduced our club to this shambles. I need to go and lie down.

It was buying/paying for those first lot of players you mention that started our path to enduring the second lot of players you mention....

Partly although we did sell all of those players and made money on them, other problems were paying big wages to off field people as well Graham Hover, Richardson and backroom people who think because they work at a football club they should get football wages and money wasted on other issues off the field.

Used to enjoy going to the reserve games at HR back in the early nineties. Don't think it cost anything to get in with your ST and you'd see some pretty decent players. The main stand would be pretty full for some games, how many did that hold?

When players used to come back from injury and would play in the reserves on the way back. We used to get the 13 bus from home to watch them saw quite a few and met Jose Perdomo after one game.

Probably because we had a reserve team of Hondurans all on about £10K a week!

When they had the same policy as now buy/bring in loads and hope some are good and most turn out to be poor.

Evtushuck, Normann, Delorge and a fair few others. These gambles and many others by that idiot Strachan are the reason we are where we are today.

You can keep going Zuniga,Martinez,Guerrero and also having his two sons on the books. I think we were probably a foreign agents favourite club.

Rumours have it that he only watched some of them on Video and never saw them play live until after we had signed them. I'm still waiting for the mardy little weasel to fall on his arse but he continues to do quite well in life !

Yes, I seem to remember it was actually Richardson who saw them on video and not even Strachan. I presume BR got some kind of....ahem....recompense for signing them.

You dont mean like allegedly rewarding yourself with a 650k bonus for sealing a land sale deal with Tesco at the arena site, on land the club didn't even own. Its amazing how business works isn't it!

You might have something in that...
Play footage of some of our greatest goals over the years during the warm-ups with loud commentary/crowd & then THOSE goals & Killer lifting the cup just before kick-off.
Get some passion into it!!! Fortress Ricoh!!!
