We have to just really go for it next season and believe we are going to win it.. anything less than a play-off place will spell terminal disaster for us - both on and off the pitch

I would've thought there'd be prize money too? Obviously, not very much!

I'd say we have a 2 year window at a push.

I can see us starting the season well, but Christmas and beyond will be when it hits us.

A measly 25,000k for winning league 1, so enough to pay bell, mcsheffrey and baker for 1 week!!!

An inform Brian Howard is the type of player we need just can't see Fisher and Waggot sanctioning that. In terms of quantity we have plenty midfield players Thomas, Fleck, Deegan, Bell, Baker, Kilbane, McSheffrey, Clarke can play wide right, this Jennings if it happens, Hussey can do a stint wide left. Only Connor Thomas would command anything like a tramsfer fee so we are stuck with the rest + a few kids. In terms of quality ?? perhaps thats a different matter.

Unless Deeegans disciplinary involves exit ,as you say Thomas is saleable ,or Bell not even on your list gets jettisoned purely to save the wage.

EDIT :Just seen bell in your list.

Would be a great addition to the squad. Get Jennings in as well and it looks very strong in midfield.

This gives you a good idea of the type of player he is. Seems to be a good all round player. Seems to be left footed.

He's decent and it'd be great to have him in the team. Do need to start looking at strikers after we've signed him though....... Ok I'm getting ahead of myself

Lots of rumours on twitter saying he's been offered that 2 year deal and a couple saying he's ours. Believe it when I see it but thought I'd pass on the rumour developments.

The problem is, is that none of the rumours are from credible twitter sources ie Sky Sports, CovTel, BBC, Sun, CWR and so on they are from... Football Juice?

Poor Fleck - hasn't kicked a ball and already being played out of position. Same old City!

Out of position? He plays on either wing or behind the front men/man.

He's all left foot. Let's not ruin the kid.

We are shooting the other way, he's playing on the left.

Or the right.

Whichever is correct.

Ashley Young's all right foot, plays on the left. Adam Johnson, left foot, plays on the right. They can all play either flank though. It's not ruining them!

"Would you be willing to drop into a league below the Championship?"

"It depends on what the offer would be and what the club's ambitions were. I would have no problem going to a League One club if I feel they are going in the right direction and share the same ambitions as myself."

Don't take this as gospel but I've heard the deal is off as Jennings is set to sign a 3 year deal after weekend.

I don't get why signing Jennings would mean we no longer want Howard? We already wanted a CM before we sold Bigi

I think Jennings is more the player we need. Grity, gets stuck in, driving midfield player.

Howard is a luxury player. Plays on the left flank where we have McSheffrey, Elliott can play there, Kilbane....

I heard Wolves are after him as well. No idea if it's true but he is a top half Champ player.

How much was he on at Reading? Must have been a fair amount.
