Hostile to the club? That's the strange situation we are in. I'd guess some also go to wasps games after moaning about sixfields. They see wasps as a sisu enemy, so side with them. The same as people did with a stadium management company.

And I hasten to add, I am by no means saying that is the one and only narrative!

I am, however, saying that the Football League cannot reasonably be expected to sit and make a judgement *against* its football club, and *for* a Rugby Union club.

Think about the consequences for *that* to the setup as it exists.

Except it isn't a Football vs Rugby thing is it. It's a Football club v Landlord thing.

Doesn't really matter *which* it is tbh.

The point being, the football league will take the side of the football club where there is doubt.

As they did before.

Because to do otherwise means passing judgement, before judgement is reached elsewhere, through bodies with more recourse to arrive at a judgement than the Football League... and less interest in protecting one of their own... notwithstanding the potential knock-on effects of them not doing so.

I think there would be little doubt of us being forced out, still people can be angry with sisu and support wasps instead.

It's there in black and white the council were trying to block a "move" at the only other viable place in the city.

Instead, people came on here preaching about how the wasps move was good.

Except they aren't being forced out, they still have 2 years at the Ricoh to run. A awful lot can happen in two years.

This all pisses me off immensely - all of them playing games with our club because they think their dick is bigger than the other guys.

Question though. If the swimming pool was not being built and the indoor pitch remained would we be able to share the site with Wasps turning the area in to a Centre of sporting excellence in Coventry, with no threat to Cat 2 status? If so who should we be directing our anger at?

What I have been told by staff at the academy, is that there are no plans to replace the indoor pitch, especially given the fact over half a million was spent last year relaying it. Wasps have said we may use the pitch 4 nights a week, Wasps intention i believe is too build on the massive amounts of spare ground behind the centre.

However as Stupot has said, the problem will be is that we won't have exclusivity anymore, which is a must for cat 2 and 3 academies and so I believe we would drop to cat 4, as we wouldn't meet the requirements (this part has I have worked out not been told)

I listened to Anderson on the radio at 5, he sounded pitiful and desperate, like ccfc are throwing themselves at the mercy of wasps and the AHC.

"While CCFC has been a proud contributing member of the Coventry community for almost 133 years, Wasps, a rugby club based in London for most of its history, has been a member of the local sporting community for less than 2 years......"

Quite a strong statement, yet spot on.

Not that it'll make any difference

Are members of the public able to appose this planning application yet?

Any reason why nothing about Andersons comments or the club statement hasn't appeared on telegraph yet? Did there Wasps and CCC overlords forbid it or are the telegraph just waiting on them to tell them what to write?

Well have fun then. I would be done I think.

It is just as much wrong us playing in Northampton as it is Wasps playing here in Coventry.

To my mind it is just plain wrong and as with last time, many, many thousands will just stay away and we will immediately become a very small club, playing in front of just a couple of thousand fans every fortnight.

The difference would be that CCFC don't have much choice about it, whereas Wasps did.

I doubt it would ever been a permanent move either.

As far as I'm aware they still have two years of their current agreement to run, a lot can happen in two years.
I think some folk on here should chill a little and see what happens over the next few weeks, it could be interesting.

No doubt it would be a disaster again and of course it is wrong, but that's the way it is heading at the moment.

Fair does, I could go back and delete my post so I don't look silly.

But live by the keyboard, die by the keyboard as I like to say.

In my defence it isn't on the Coventry City FC page of the telegraph which I was checking and only appears on the homepage.

Doesn't help much though, Nick. If you recall last time thousands stayed away and there were lots saying if that if the club spent another season away that would be it for them and I was one of them.

People started doing other things at the weekends and it felt like we didn't even have a club.

This time you know it would be at least 2 seasons and probably 3 plus, that's if a stadium was being built.

Do that and I think 15,000 at the Butts will be far, far to big for us and we should be able to just build a nice 5,000 seater, which will be perfect for League Two and Conference football.

What for? SISU will just show them the hard copy of the council trying to stop them from moving inside Coventry, they will show them that Higgs won't talk to them.

But too short a time frame to conclude a judicial review.

not sure whether the FL will allow another groundshare with NTFC as they are now in the same league as us.
might have to go to Nuneaton or Rugby Town.
