Nouble will never agree to sign longer as he is miles out of league ones pay scale.

Possibly but could he have not seen out the reminder of his Ipswich contract if it was that high?

Indeed, I'm sure the same posters would be the first to slag the owners off if he were given a 2 year contract and performed shite for the first 3 or 4 months.

I would suspect he has had a settlement from them as indeed St Carl of Coventry did from us. Remember, if we had not paid the Holy One off he would not be with MK Dons as they could not have afforded him - as we couldn't.

That's whole by the way. Cheers for the lack of pedantry, mark.

I was thinking they might be paying him off a bit, like we did baker?

That would make sense

Wise decision on the short term deal as it encourages him to put himself in the shop window if he wants out or to put in good performances if he wants to stay.

And we would possibly have a different top scorer and highest assists. If he was allowed to play of course.

Yes could be a pay off

I just don't get why we didn't insert an option for another year on our side

Was thinking the same thing, unless they tried and it was rejected

Because he would not have accepted it. Looks to me as if he wants to put himself in the shop window from now till the end of the season and then move on.

That's the way I read it too. It leaves us looking like mugs a few months down the road - unless he gets badly injured, or plays like a donkey. Although it's harder to do these days, as a supporter I like to feel an affinity with a player wearing the Sky blue shirt, and it's not hard to be cynical about watching a player who we all know will be meeting regularly with his agent within weeks of signing for us to sort out where his next wedge/move is coming from.

I think personally good for all parties - Jury out for me with Nouble but one thing is for sure we will get best out of him now for next few months.
This can only be a good thing for City even if only short term it excites me! Happy we have got Martin too and losing Jordan and McQuoid
not the end of the world for me! Good window so far imo!
