So you think us or Chesterfield can match the wages of £900,000 a year - lol.

But he is not on that now is he, its a fierce market, beggars cannot be choosers, hes a free transfer now, he will not be getting that sort of wage now.

Ebanks Blake with a proven goal scoring record has took 6 months to find another club

But why would he commit to a fraction of that wage when he doesn't have to? He will want to look at all options prior to commiting to any long term deal.

His agent will be fully aware of how much interest there is and a 4 month contract with us is probably the best option he has at the moment.

How do we no he was on £900, 0000 a year he certainly isn't worth that my point is we have no ambition hence why we have loans and players no one wants. We carnt even sign a player for free because of wages.

Im just glad assuming It all goes through ok
I rate him and think us fans showing him the love may have tempted him
He wants to be a hero and we need those to make us buy tickets
I do however wish we would. make longer term deals and build something
I'd rather hero worship a few players than the manager tbf
The manager can have that when he's actually achieved something more than words jmo

I thought that those behind NOPM weren't bothered about this though? They'd take relegation to the conference if it meant getting rid of sisu.

* Possibly, longer term. But at present the longer term plan is to rebuild an entire new squad after we find out which league we'll be in (should be League One).

But other clubs can offer him a contract whilst he is with us. It's just crap.

Infact other clubs can now offer pre contract deals to all these players:

Webster
Daniels
Jackson
Reda
Pugh
Barton
Lawton
Clarke
Tudgay
Miller
Nouble
Willis

Apart from Willis, Daniels, Lawton and possibly Reda I hope someone actually does take em. Actually I'm amazed someone hasn't taken the League one Maldini already

My initial thoughts were, and still are, that this is a sensible deal.

Comparsons can be drawn between Nouble and Balotelli; unquestionably both have genuine talent and potential (albeit different scales), but there are big questions regarding their commitment, temprement and laziness.

For those reasons, the jury is still out on Nouble with the majority of fans, evidently with Pressley too.

Granted there is is a risk with a four month contract but this can be offset against the risk of offering a player of this mould, and more importantly wage structure, a longer deal. If he plays well, we get the benefit of that for the reminder of the season, if he then gets snatched away it will be disappointing but he is replaceable. Plus who knows he may go against the trend of modern footballers and show some loyalty.

It is different from extending the loan, as already pointed out, it allows an extra loan player in both the squad overall and the match day squad. Loans are not ideal but if we get a player that makes the same impact as McGoldrick, I doubt there will be people moaning about the number of loan then.

I'm pretty sure they can only talk to clubs from abroad? not to clubs in England due to regulations?

No, they can talk to any club and sign a pre-contract agreement with them, when they are in the last six months of their contract.

I am not NOPM but would snap your hand off for us to be in the Conf with sisu gone.

The likely alternative is we will be there with them within 5 years imo.

"Bosman and all other EU football players were given the right to a free transfer at the end of their contracts, with the provision that they were transferring from a club within one EU Association to a club within another EU Association."

Pretty sure it has to be in another country... for a pre-contract

I may be wrong... but I thought they could talk to anyone... but only sign a pre-contact agreement with a club in a different country.

Happy to be corrected

They are if they are given permission by their current club. If there's no permission it's not allowed (but probably still happens).

Do we have to wait to the end of Jan to get Madine till the end if the season?
That is far more important on my book.

Who did I have that McQuoid bet with? Looks like I owe some money to charity.

4 months better than nothing I suppose, just wish we had a clause for a further year or two if he meets expectations.

Some good news for a change. Hopefully they've got an option to extend as well.

Typical SISU, everything kept to the minimum to aid possible exit strategy.

Nouble is a match winner when on his game - at this level he has the potential to rip defences apart, we know he can do it - we need more of it.

Good idea, you play so many games it automatically gets extended if you don't it ends.

I agree but doesn't it worry you that he hasn't done just exactly that and had us desperate to sign him up for a couple of years. We are left a but undecided including the manager.

Nouble will never agree to sign longer as he is miles out of league ones pay scale.
