Reminds me of (one of many) the plane crash that happened in Russia a few years ago. Killed the whole Lokomotiv Moscow Ice Hockey Team if I remember, including many internationals such as the Swedish #1 netminder. All the other teams in the league gave them players so they could finish the season.

Let's not forget the other passengers in this one though...

Brazilian aviation record is very poor.

Argentina used the same plane 2 weeks ago apparently.

RIP to those who sadly died.

Is it unusual for a plane to smash into the ground like that and not burst into flames? Did it run out of fuel? I only ask because the distances from take off,
to destination are out of range for that plane according to wiki. Yeah wiki, I know.
RIP

Pilot dumped a load of fuel before it crashed, apparently.

So the few who did survive owe him.

Just had a look at those reports northern. Then went on a aviation website and saw that the RJ85 has no fuel dump capability. very odd.

It appears you're right.

Just shows papers maybe shouldn't rush to their stories (or us to believe them!)

The latest report suggests the pilot radioed to traffic control they ran out of fuel. Absolute tragedy.

It's also criminal. If those reports are true.

With the flight plan they submitted, they should never have been allowed to take off. Heads already starting to roll in Bolivia.

Pretty much been confirmed that the plane ran out of fuel, whether it was negligence from the pilot/support team/radio control is yet to be determined however. What a tragic, needless loss of life.

I've seen other forums doing the same, but how about we have a few minutes downtime for the fallen Chapocoense brothers?

Yep. Yet to be determined who was at fault. Although I'm having £50 on the pilot, co -pilot and despatcher all placing quite high on the next Darwin awards nominations.
