It was, but Brazil surely only delaying the inevitable? Haven't been greatly impressed by this bunch from the very first game.

Agree - and there won't be street riots while Brazil are still in it - they'll get knocked out when they face Germany (IMHO)

Yes I know but the game itself was gripping shots, great saves either side could have won it then the penalty shoot out. Brazil haven't played well but you know that they can play better and would you bet that they wont?

That was a great game, I feel sorry for chile, but it's probably for the best for the tournament that the host nation is still in it. Also Fred must be one of the worst players to ever to play international football let alone for a team like Brazil.

Jara, the one who missed the decisive penalty, has just been released by Forest. Reckon he fancies going from the World Cup to League One?

Sanchez (Chile) was Man of the Match for me. Played out of his skin!

Maybe the other Sanchez had peeled it off him with his teeth (when he accidentally lost balance and fell on top of him)

A truly great game, got to say I was rooting for Chile, and I agree with the above poster's on two things, Sanchez was a class above anyone else on the pitch, and also Fred is quite possibly one of the worst international footballer's in the whole competition, excluding the England squad that is

Now watching Columbia who have impressed me greatly
